I suspect there are many Americans who look at this stuff as a whole. Just more noise. More lies, more bullshit.

It's like having kids. One of them may be making more noise, but collectively they're driving the parent nuts.

Its one of the reasons I am not too worried about Biden in the polls. Most voters are not paying attention to the noise coming from either side. When they do; they'll remember the insurrection, the indictments, and the indecency of the blob.

I think it's one of the reasons they want the impeachment of Biden so much; that sort of thing breaks through to the masses.

One simple question.

Who gets to determine what is the, 'wings', of any party?

My theory is that those who claim it is the extremes of the party that are the problem are actually ON the extreme.

It goes without saying that the Democratic party has moved steadily left over the past 40 years. So much so that what was considered a bit radical left-wing is now considered 'right' of the center by those who like to blame the 'wings.'

A reasonable and rational look at the political spectrum finds that the current Democratic party is left of what the Soviet Socialists were, and just to the right of the Soviets are the National Socialists. You know, the Nazis.

The whole point is that even the Soviets and the nationalists are all FAR, FAR, FAR, to the left of the center.

Those who, 40 years ago, were considered moderate are now called 'wingers' by people like the OP. They think that someone like Kennedy or Reagan is extreme right wing when, in fact, they are pretty much exactly where they have always been on the spectrum.

History does not move and remains what it is. So if those back in the '60s and '70s were pretty much middle of the road, then it is the current crop of crazy that has moved.
