Americans are savers now. It s a problem for the economy - Jun. 1 2015
However looking at our Government's external debts I doubt that we are savers indeed.
Moreover One man's debt is another man's savings. You can't claim savings is good and debt is bad. Saving through purchase of liabilities is the most common and most advantageous method by which households accrue wealth long term.
