In 2014, Americans were also more worried about the government, Congress and politicians than unemployment or health care.
Eighteen percent said the “most important problem” in the United States in 2014 was “Government/Congress/Politicians.”
The economy was second on the list, at 17 percent, while unemployment and jobs were cited as the most important issue by 15 percent of Americans.
Health care and immigration were among the top five concerns, at 10 and eight percent, respectively.
The survey of 12,000 adults was taken throughout 2014 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 1 percentage point.
