Ameriacn drone was shoot down by a Russian jet over Black Sea.

Play stupid games - win stupid prizes. Biden decided to play escalation, so there will be the escalation.

It was in international water. Russia's was an ACT OF WAR.

Good thing for them we have a spineless, gutless CCP puppet in the WH now who will treat it like he let the CCP fly a spy balloon right over all of our most sensitive military installations.

I didn't say why he's attacking the Ukraine, but why he's attacking US drones.
Because those drones have been gathering information about Russian forces, of course.
And no, they do not attack Ukraine (from their point of view). They are fighting against American assets in the region. And from this point of view, there is very little difference between manned Ukrainian fighter and unmanned US recon vehicle.

So what? Do think there is a big difference between bombing the US Fleet's training base on the Ukrainian land (and killing few US sailors) and splashing the US UAV in international water?
Might is right, you know. This is a Cold War, but it's getting warmer.

But why now? The US has been using drones for a year now. Why is Putin now so bold as to do this?

It's Putin's metastrategy : "It's better to bend them, rather then broke". Step by step escalation and combination with economical and political actions. At the summer he may start to bomb Polish and Romanian military sites. In 2024 - he'll use tactical nukes against Europeans. In 2025, if he isn't achieved his goals, he is going to attack the USA.

Why not?

The United States has a weak, feckless President with obviously limited mental capacity. Add to that the fact that the entire Biden crime family is now coming out after the Democrats and legacy media tried valiantly to keep it from the public.

We, our country, is in deep, deep, yogurt!

Oh, I get it. The Russians simply don't believe in the Pauli's Exclusion Principle yet, right?
It applies to electrons and airplanes equally, don't you think?

The Flanker driver has several ways to take the drone down short of crashing into it- this is obviously a tactic they have not trained on.

He could have simply positioned himself in front of the drone and dumped the fuel- just let the drone fly into it. The engine would ingest a bunch of kerosene- potentially starting a compressor fire, the sensor would be fouled, and the the entire airframe would be covered in kerosene. That's at least a mission-kill...

If he wants a kinetic kill, he has IR missiles and a cannon- the last thing in the world you want to do is crash into it. I guarantee that propeller sliced the shit out of the Flanker's engine nacelle at the very least. Had it been the stabilator it could easily have taken the Flanker down...

Damn it. Let your dogshit army take Odesa at least, for a start.

What's all the fuss about the U.S. drone over the Black Sea?
Just shoot in return a russian drone over Texas, what's the problem?

So Biden the Timid has ordered US drone flights to move back, I guess Putin gets a say in USAF mission planning now.

The UK is not intimidated. This is an RAF RC-135 Rivet Joint, callsign RRR7224, escorted by two Eurofighter Typhoons callsigns Dread011 and Dread012. Yesterday afternoon.
