Al Gore: Climate-Change Fight Like Battle Against Nazis

This is twice now this idiot has poisoned the well with moderate Dem Senators as they get ready to take up the Cap and Tax bill. Why does Gore wish to alienate those that he will most need? Does he not WANT Cap and Tax to pass, or is he just stupid?

Or, can he simply just not help himself?

didn't he say around 1999 that gasoline should be around $5 a gallon?

I remember something like that, maybe we can find that quote.

In his 1992 book, "Earth in the Balance," he CALLED for high gasoline prices, $5 and up, to get people to stop driving and so that he could begin to get the internal combustion engine banned. He said artificially inflating the cost of all fossil fuels would be needed to "save the planet."

And that's exactly what's been happening since. As soon as Clinton/Gore took office, a federal tax was levied on gasoline that's still there today, they greatly modified the Clean Air Act to create 52 different formulas of regular unleaded gasoline for separate distribution in different areas of the country where there was actually only 3 before that.... Making distribution much more costly. And actually having a negative carbon effect, because this multiplied the amount of tankers needed by something like 100 fold.

This was while Clinton/Gore enjoyed a Dem controlled Congress. Sorta like what we're seeing now.

Al Gore on Tuesday compared the battle against climate change with the struggle against the Nazis.

The former vice president said the world lacked the political will to act and invoked the spirit of Winston Churchill by encouraging leaders to unite their nations to fight climate change.

He also accused politicians around the world of exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming to avoid difficult decisions.

Now imagine if Gore had won in 2000. How high would our gasoline have been last summer? chrissy and other morons blame Bush for high gas prices but if St. Albert had won, they'd have been much higher.

Gore called for raising energy prices to curb use.

Here is some information for what was being proposed in 2000.

ETHANOL MADNESS (2006)
PART ONE: End the Great 2006 Bio-Fuels Swindle, by EIR staff The current mania for ethanol, biodiesel fuels, "flex-fuel vehicles," and the like, is creating a financial bubble, within which is a swindle, inside of which is a slippery old methane fart waiting to explode. Members of Congress taking part in the swindle, enthusiastically or not, are going to wind up very smelly when the ethanol party ends, the investment boom collapses, and motorists indignantly demand regular gasoline again.....

Just a good read about Al Gore's policies and statements. Maybe he should be compared to David Koresh since he has such a cult following and is comparing those who disagree with him with Nazi's?

"Earth in the Balance" is the EnviroNazis "Mein Kampf" and it also enjoyed the advantage of, nobody really read it either.

Very similar to Obama's books too, no one's really read them.

personally I'm glad he never became president.

I see. He would have done worse than Bush? Two failed wars, a failed disaster response, a case of Treason at the highest levels of government for revenge on someone that told the truth, the murderer of 3000 Americans alive and free for over seven years, and the second greatest economic debacle in our history. But Gore would have been worse. You are truly an idiot.

this kind of thing really bothers me. It is all other people have to suffer for their cause. Why couldn't he build himself an energy efficient home? Why can't he live the cause he pushes? It really isn't that hard. He sees determined to go the other way.

This isn't hypocrisy, it is just place dishonesty.

Also, it isn't that big a deal. We can't compare it to the last world war.

Also, it reminds me of the most irritating part of the Carter administration. The empty symbolism for its own sake, but when it came to real acts to do real things, they couldn't be bothered.

I suppose he could have built an energy efficient home. But he chose to renovate an old mansion, and also use it as an office. He installed solar panels, and has done other renovations to make it more energy efficient.

As far as your charge of hypocrisy goes, that is off base, just a talking point that you are too lazy to really investigate.

I think Gore chose the wrong symbolism, but the effects of the warming, if the clathrates let go, will be greater than if the Nazis had won WW2.

The world lacks the political will to act? Hopefully the world is waking up to the con game of global warming. He is right though, politicians are exploiting ignorance about the dangers of global warming . . . and he's the biggest offender.

Con game? Prove your point! A con game that includes every Scientific Society, every National Academy of Science, and every major Univesity on Earth. Now that is one doozy of a conspiracy! Been taken up by any aliens lately?

Ahhhhhh...makes me want to go for a long drive in my V8 gas guzzling Ford F150

LOL. You are one dumb ass hick. Ol' Al had the Presidency stolen from him. Then he went out and used a modestly wealthy inheritance to invest in high tech stocks at a time that the market was on a downer. And made a large fortune. At the same time, he was delivering his lecture on global warming worldwide. And winning respect, worldwide, for it. Then he made it into a movie. Won some nice awards for that movie. And a Nobel for his work. Now I am sure he stays up late at night worrying about your opinion of him:lol:

con game: do you think the anglo-saxon race is superior to all others? It was believed to be true by every scientific society in America in the late nineteenth century. Good to see scientific societies are never wrong and that politics don't play any role in them, eh Roxy?

It's been proven over and over again, you stupid fuck, that Bush won Florida. You whiney little bitch.

Now imagine if we already had very efficient plug in hybrids. We had, briefly, a real electric vehicle being sold in the US, the Toyota RAV4. Chevron and GM killed it through some legal language in the original Ovshinsky contract.

Beating on Gore will not change the trajectory of the warming that we are experiancing. It only shows the idiocy and inanity of your intellect.

If he's right, the war against NAZIism will be a picnic compared to what we're facing.

If he's wrong, then this statement is nothing more than hyperbole

Care to back up that assertation? Every one? Now you are very good at making unsupported statements. How about supporting a bit of your idiocy? Give me just one scientific society that states that global warming is not occuring, and that we have nothing to do with it. How about one National Academy of Science? Just one major university anywhere on the planet?
