He didn't say anything about Soros helping to gas jews. He mentioned that Soros was in a situation where he had to confiscate property from fellow Jews and watch them as they were sent off to die. And questioning what kind of impact that could have had on a 14 year old.

Something George Soros has called the best time of his life.

Crazy idea. Why don't you actually look at what he said and his sources before you accuse people of lying.

As far as I can see, from what Beck said about Soros, he was accurate. Perhaps you should try reading up on Soros. He's written quite a few books, and there are several biogs on him.

From what I've seen, Beck's comments were not themselves anti-semitic, but instead were an attempt to defame Soros as some sort of anti-semite Jew, or as some sort of collaborator.

Abraham H. Foxman, ADL National Director and a Holocaust survivor, issued the following statement:


Glenn Beck's description of George Soros' actions during the Holocaust is completely inappropriate, offensive and over the top. For a political commentator or entertainer to have the audacity to say – inaccurately – that there's a Jewish boy sending Jews to death camps, as part of a broader assault on Mr. Soros, that's horrific.

While I, too, may disagree with many of Soros' views and analysis on the issues, to bring in this kind of innuendo about his past is unacceptable. To hold a young boy responsible for what was going on around him during the Holocaust as part of a larger effort to denigrate the man is repugnant.

The Holocaust was a horrific time, and many people had to make excruciating choices to ensure their survival. George Soros has been forthright about his childhood experiences and his family's history, and there the matter should rest.

I bolded the part that was editied out by somebody to sensationalize something. So here we are, the New York Times not being honest and Beck not being honest. Why do they do that crap?

And don't jump all over me about Soros. Personally, I think Soros is the boogeyman created by the far right talking heads. Much like the Koch brothers are to the left.
The demonizing by both sides of the aisle is pretty sad. But in the long run, I think Big Money (Soros, Koch Bros., etc) controlling thus country's politics takes away the voice of Main Street America. Right or wrong, that's my opinion.

Taking a portion or segment of whatr someone said is not chopping up what they said., There is no way that soros meant what he said any other way but how he said it. He enjoyed what he was doing. So do you excuse his actions?
