About the solution.

Today only the most lazy people don't try to discuss what the solution of the conflict may be. One state solution, two states solution... five states solution. Emirates, bantustans..
I have to disappoint all these people. The Jewish people already found the solution 70 years ago: a Jewish state. And today Israel celebrates her 70th anniversary in her capital Jerusalem. Nobody on the earth can change this decision. People can whine until their faces became blue, nothing will help.
But what about Palestinians? you may ask.
Palestinians are the problem of those who created and incited the conflict. Who are they? Arabs, Muslims, communists, European liberals..."international community". Everybody, but Israel. So, it's up to "international community" to solve the Palestinian problem which they created.
But Palestinians want their sovereign state with capital in Jerusalem!, you may say.
Palestinians want.. So what? A quick search in Torah will show you that there is no commandment to fulfill all wishes of Palestinians. "international community" decided it? Then it's a problem of "international community", not of Israel.
"international community" created millions of virtual Palestinian refugees? OK, now feed them. Good luck.

Obviously, it's not that simple.

In a sane world, one would say, just establish one country in that whole area and have elections to decide who rules and what the laws are. But the Arabs would quickly out-breed the Jews, and shortly thereafter we would have Holocaust II.

Aside from the occasional atrocity, my problem with what the Israelis are doing now is that it is dishonest. They claim to be amenable to a "two-state solution," when everything they are actually doing is clearly intended to make that an impossibility. Of course, on the other side we have the entire Arab/Muslim world, who could have easily taken in all of the Palestinian refugees 50 years ago, but they WANT this conflict to go on, for their own political reasons.

The Jews were the only ones to agree to a further partition of their land with the Arabs, first in 1937 and then in 1948.

The very first partition occurred in 1922 when Britain took away 78% of the Mandate, Jewish homeland, and gave it to the Ashemite Arabs.

This is not Palestinians vs Israel. Never has been.

It has always been Islam against Judaism, in the sense that the Muslims cannot accept a Jewish State on land they had once conquered.

Which is why UNWRA exist ONLY for the Palestinians, and Palestinians only.

Which is why any and all Arab/Muslim countries refuse to take those called Palestinians into their countries and making them citizens, as it would have happened to any other group of people.

ALL Israel has done is defend its borders and its population Jewish, Muslim, Christian and everyone else, from a clearly planned genocide, from 1920 until today. It is not from 1948, but from 1920, when the first Arab (not Palestinian) riots began.

I said nothing about the whole area or about so called "one state solution". Israel doesn't want additional Palestinian population and won't accept it. Neither those who live today in PA, nor so called Palestinian refugees.
Aside from the occasional atrocity
I really appreciate this, especially these days, when Israel remembers more than 3000 victims of the Palestinian terrorism.

When a country constantly has to defend itself against aggression and terrorism, your "dishonesty" remark sounds inappropriate at the best.

70 years ago, not 50.
The "entire Arab/Muslim world" and other enemies if Israel needed "Palestinian refugees" to destroy the Jewish state. Again, now it's theirs and "international community"'s problem.

What is dishonest?
Israeli society has many opinions on the issue. Those change as we keep the discussion withing our society, and look for new alternatives. Wars, progress and the geopolitical changes in the middle east all have an influence on our view of the situation. We simply have to adjust to move forward with reality. We have other more important things to do, You know.

Arabs wouldn't out-breed anyone, we just don't need suicidal maniacs in our society.

Ilan Pappe: Palestinians don't need US for their statehood
It is clear the US never had Palestinian interests in mind and they can now move on, prominent Israeli historian

Doha, Qatar - Prominent Israeli historian Ilan Pappe says US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as Israel's capital has shown the Palestinians that Washington has no interest in helping them achieve statehood.

In an interview with Al Jazeera in Qatar's capital, Doha, Pappe also said Trump's positions should make Palestinians realise that American intervention is not required to achieve peace.

Then what are they waiting for?

How many times can Arab Muslims be offered a partition or a peace treaty, including what the Oslo Accords were to achieve, for the Hamas, PLO members say NO simply because that is what they wrote in their charters.

To Muslims, any land not in the hands of Muslims is a dishonor, especially when they were supposed to be the ones with the numbers and the power to destroy Israel and the Jews.

So, when is Abbas, or any and all the other "leaders" of the Palestinians, going to sit down and MAKE peace so that they can have their State?

Yeah, Ilan Pappe and his fables about Israel and the Muslim world.
Add to it Al Jazeera and one has a perfect combination in rewriting history in all possible ways.

"Those poor, poor Palestinians, who had their homeland invaded by Zionists."

"The horror of it"
