It was a stupid fucking ruling.
He actually said the FDA does not have the authority to approve a drug. The drug has been on the market for more than 20 years and he is claiming we do not know if it is safe or not.
The Judge is a fucking moron.
And then we have this...
A different Fed Judge at the same level of the dude in Texas ruled that the FDA cannot pull the very same drug off the market.
As of now it is literally impossible for the FDA to follow both rulings.

The FDA has not been a very effective agency.
Even if that were true, it still would not change that they are the only agency that can approve a drug for use.
Thus the judge is a fucking moron.

No the judge is not a moron. You just disagree with his ruling but many folks agree with him.Even if that were true, it still would not change that they are the only agency that can approve a drug for use.

There is nothing in libertarian philosophy against an organization testing drugs and medical devices, and issuing consumer recommendations.
Do you have a better solution?
Should we all just test drugs ourselves for their safety and not have any sort of regulations at all when it comes to such things?

Yes, the FDA has approved drugs in the past. After the COVID fiasco, that authorisation needs pulled and a new body formed to do the job correctly.Yes they have.
