While the Christians of Bethlehem overwhelmingly (78%) blame the exodus of Christians from the town on Israel's blockade, Americans are more likely (45.9%) to blame it on Islamic politics and are reluctant (7.4%) to blame Israel.

While the US survey showed that Americans are sceptical about Muslims and Christians living contentedly alongside each other - only 17% thought they lived together in peaceful coexistence ?- the Palestinian survey showed they do: around 90% of Christians said they had Muslim friends, and vice-versa.

US Christians, meanwhile, are likely to be shocked by the discovery that seven out of ten Christians in Bethlehem believe Israel treats the town's Christian heritage with brutality or indifference.

The biggest threat to all religions is the FACT that there is no such thing as "spooks".

Wonder why Republicans supported the extermination of Iraqi Christians? Hmmm.

It is sad that US Christians support the persecution of Christians elsewhere.

It is sad the Quran discriminates against Christians and exhorts Muslims to murder them.

Do you have a reading problem? All historic accounts say that there was an amicable relationship among Muslims, Christians, and Jews in Palestine.

Dummy, you have read no reliable historical accounts. That's why you are a dummy.

The Quran instructs Muslims to discriminate against Jews and Christians and to murder Jews. Historically, Jews and Christians whose lives were spared were forced to live as dhimmis, under Islamic law, which reduced them to third-class citizens devoid of rights.

Dummy, Christians are being persecuted out of the Middle East by Muslims...

There was only one post in the talk back section.

    1. Lies and racism
yes, in part there have been some violations, but this article is filled with lies and playing on the fear of the people. As a Palestinian Christian from Bethlehem i can say with confidence thishe article is filled with holes and lies. the real cause of Christian immigration in Bethlehem is the illegal Israeli ocupation and settlements. a country that dared to shell the church of nativity, Israel is now threatening to demolish the Greek Othodox Housing project because it overlooks a settlers road, I have seen the Israeli army shooting at the cross of one of our churches in Bethlehem,

Of course there are some problems of law and order since our dictator there virtually disbanded the judicial branch in Palestine.

Dummy, Israel is the safe haven for Christians. 250,000-300,000 Christians have emigrated to Israel, where they are able to live freely. There are only 50,000 Christians in all of the West Bank and Gaza, out of 4 million Muslims in thse territories, with the vast majority of the Christian population having been chased out.

    Dummy, read and learn...
