Since the poll was obviously limited to a specific answer: Bush/Obama, the respondents could not complete their opinions. I believe that Bush did a terrible job during the Katrina crisis. I also know that Obama has done no better for the victims since then. Pretty much like he's done for the victims of Sandy. As for Jesus, Lincoln, Mother Teresa and Duck Dynasty, they all get a huge thumbs up from me. The folks of DD are spreading the Word of God and we certainly need that in our nation.

The governor of the state activates the National Guard to send into areas claimed to be disaster areas.

Among the first to express criticism of the management of the crisis had been The Pentagon, who complained only a day after Katrina hit that bureaucratic red tape from the Bush administration and the FEMA (newly reorganized under the Homeland Security Department) had caused the delay of a scheduled and authorized military hospital ship from Norfolk, Virginia, among other related and prepared active military crisis response procedures

What happened is a tragedy and the attitude of those folks can be understood, but a catastrophe of that magnitude and in the geographical area that is at sea level or below is a high risk environment. Most people that live there should also understand this also.

The poll is obviously bullshit---but from someone who was here during and after Katrina, the problems were largely caused by an incompetent mayor and an idiot governor.

Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco hated each other even though they were both democrats----why? because Nagin refused to support Blanco in the governor's race.

the result was that they refused to work together and sent mixed signals to DC as they attempted to make each other look bad. FEMA also sucked, just as FEMA is sucking in NY and NJ as they recover from Sandy.

The Democratic-leaning polling firm, which provided its results to Talking Points Memo, found that 29 percent of Louisiana Republicans said Obama was responsible for the Katrina response. Twenty-eight percent put the blame on President George W. Bush, whose administration did in fact oversee the federal response to Katrina. Nearly half (44 percent) of the Louisiana Republicans polled didn't know who to blame.

So the poll was biased and rigged to give that answer, it's amazing that is only showed 29% in that case. It's a partisan smear tactic, not a study.
