A Solution to the Indiana Law Protecting Religion (That 82% Support BTW)

Do you support Indiana's law as amended in the OP?

  • Yes, I think that's a good compromise.

    Votes: 3 42.9%
  • No, it's 100% LGBT way or the highway

    Votes: 3 42.9%
  • Maybe, but I have another amending idea of my own (see my post)

Here's an idea.

Shut up and bake the fucking cake, you ignorant, superstitious pud.

They will bake cakes for second and third marriages, adulterers, pregnant brides, atheists, mixed religious marriages

But somehow, their religious convictions only kick in when it comes to gays

Perhaps having this sign is offending someone..................LION'S, TIGERS AND BEARS............

Ask the Health Department

A solution to the Indiana law that says Christians can refuse to enable a 'gay marriage' is found in understanding concepts #1 & #2 below. I wrote this post in response to a comment "ChrisL" made.

Any service having to do conspicously or overtly for a "gay marriage" may be able to be objected to by Christians. !

Hmmmm have you ever read the Constitution?

What makes you think that Christians are allowed special exemptions under the Constitution?
That's easy to answer. Freedom of religious practice is protected by the Constitution. Gay butt sex is not.

Doesn't mean the freedom to practice discrimination based on a religious belief is protected by the constitution.

Where in the constitution does it say that people must commit sacrilege if they want to remain in business?

That's right. It doesn't say that.

You obviously do not understand the term sacrilege and what it entails.

Jude 1 of the New Testament says that any Christian who enables a homosexual subculture in overtaking a civilization or township will be subject to the pit of fire forever. See the OP for details. koshergirl understands it perfectly here.

Marriage is the steering wheel that drives the vehicle of any civilization. Ergo, enabling gay marriage is in fact sacrilege.

Thank God :ack-1: the 1st amendment protects citizens from those who would impose religious laws on us all.

It's kinda interesting that specific Christians want to defy the Bible's commandments about how to treat people in general.

  • James 2:8 If you fulfill the royal law according to the scripture, You shall love your neighbor as yourself, you do well:

    • Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatever you would that men should do to you, do you even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

      • Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

        • Romans 13:10 Love works no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

That's right. It doesn't say that either.

Riddle me this..........................You use your life savings to open a bar...............hole in the wall, great place to get a drink and have a good time................and it's great for a while................stop by place for those getting off work..........................

and then here come the gays...............they come in and buy drinks...........and then more.........then more............your regulars leave...................

and now the bar you used your life savings on is now considered the LOCAL GAY BAR...............your earnings are down................as only so many gays come there................and your dreams are screwed.........because you never would have guessed the gays would flock to the bar................

Would this be right....................or wrong.................The GAYS DIDN'T BUILD THIS..........BAR...........It's YOUR INDIVIDUAL PROPERTY...................even though a Public Place................

You should be able to DENY SERVICE to your OWN PROPERTY.................if it ticks off the gays then so be it.......................Because you don't agree with their way of life......................That is an INFRINGEMENT on the rights of the Bar Owner............NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

Swap the word 'Gays' or "African Americans' or 'Jews'.

No- business owners do not have the right to discriminate.

The opposite could be true..............If I had a large group coming there and then they leave because of a small group of undesirables then I would lose business and money as well...............

Where in this equation do you see the equal amounts of money flow between the groups..................

So I'd say I'd be going out of business because they took it over..............not to mention the broken stuff if we used the same equation to the biker gangs.........
....Do men go to HOOTERS to look at faggots kissing or to see BIG BOOBS.......

And that is the best argument that the homophobes can come up with.

Jude 1 of the New Testament says that any Christian who enables a homosexual subculture .

Jude 1 doesn't even mention homosexuality.

Why do you feel a need to lie about everything?

:lmao:

How about the 1st Amendment to the Constitution? Wow are you dumb.

Hmmm no. Actually the First Amendment specifically forbids a special exemption for Christians that you propose

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof

Any law that states that Christians get a special 'get out of jail free' pass from laws that apply to everyone else is unconstitutional.

Which one of those colors stands for boys' civil right to have a father or girls' civil right to have a mother in their home "as married"?

The exercise of Christianity compels them to not enable the spread of a homosexual subculture. Marriage is the wheel of which any culture is driven. It is the hub, the very core of any culture. Therefore, enabling so-called "gay marriage" is a mortal sin for Christians that Jude 1 of the New Testament Jude 1 1-4 Jude 1 17-25 KJV - Jude the servant of Jesus Christ and - Bible Gateway warns quite direly that will land them in the pit of fire for eternity.

You cannot, therefore, create secular laws or conditions that FORCE a Christian to ignore Jude 1 at their eternal peril. That is forcing them to abdicate their faith in a very concrete and permanent way. This isn't Old Testament venial-sin "don't eat pork" or "stone people for whatever". Jesus said in the redacted faith (the New Testament) "let ye who is without sin cast the first stone". This is Jude, Jesus' personal handservant and trusted friend who walked with him daily and held fast to his every word. And yet still the warning was for those who enable homoesexuality: eternal death. This was a message from God passed through his mouthpiece Jesus, directly to the faithful.

Quite apparently, therefore, it seems as if God of the Christians feels very VERY strongly about preserving a matrix which He designed in order for souls to test their mettle. Turns out when you blur distinct lines (male/female) the sharpness of those particular lessons and challenges is lost. This actually destroys the "testing grounds". So it makes perfect logical secular sense why this particular warning was given to Christians. And why it is so very VERY dire.

No- clearly it does not- since most Christians are not so 'compelled'

And that has nothing to do with your proposal to make a special exemption for Christians

There is no such right- shown by the millions of children being raised by single parents.

ALL Christians are so compelled. That they choose to ignore dire warnings is not going to spare them what Jude 1 has promised.

The other point I was making in the OP of this thread is that Indiana and other businesses should not be worried about the "backlash" for standing up for Christians to say "no" to enabling "gay marraige". 82% of Americans agree Christians should have this protection. Check the "should churches..." link in the OP for details. Companies should be running to Indiana for a boon in sales.

So now you- a non-Christian- are telling us what all Christians are compelled to do? You are so delusional.

There are Christian churches marrying same gender couples.

The funny part is that every state official in Indiana is busy telling us that this law has nothing to do with Gay marriage.

Are they all lying?
