In the recesses of your mind
Only a few minutes long, so it won't take up much of your time.
It is very informative.

Please, don't waste food. There is ALWAYS another use for it.
Especially if you grow your own foods and have a slag pit, reclamation barrell, or recycling/compost pile of some sort you use for natural fertilizers.

Here's an added bonus................

This has been going on for decades. And it became flagrantly noticable during the Communist reign of Obama's administration.
Canned veggies went from 16 oz cans to 14 oz cans. Bags of processed foods went from 14 oz bags, to 10 oz bags.
AND...... When the SIZES go DOWN........the prices go UP!!!!
So yeah, the companies are making twice as much money EVERY TIME they "shrink" the volume, weight, or package size of their products.

Another bonus video..............

I just checked ... "Best if used by Aug 15th, 1993" ... I have no idea what it was originally ... the label fell off years ago ...

Pffffft ...

This is capitalism ... our food is that cheap here in the United States ... wasting food sinks carbon ... buried deep in the landfill it will never decay ...
