Ratzinger is not a Benedictine Olivetian. However, he took the name of the founder of the Benedictine Order - Olivetians, so it fits.
dilloduck said:Whew--I just knew you could make it fit somehow !
freeandfun1 said:what is that supposed to mean?
dilloduck said:It means that I think some predictions are really quite vague and can be interpreted in many ways. Those that want to believe in those that claim they can see into the future tend to interpret present day events to fit the prediction.

Bonnie said:Depends on what you mean.. I think the message was one of unity in the church with a man who will stick to the true Catholic doctrine and not waver to reformists in the face of criticism. I beleive he will carry on Pope John Paul's style in reaching out to other religions to bring some sort unity amongst the faiths.

I'm not Catholic, but I find this whole process fascinating. I was only 10 years old when Pope John Paul I was elected Pope, and of course quickly followed by Pope John Paul II. At that time, ABC news is what we relied on, and it's amazing how different the news coverage is now compared to 1978. I am glad to chose someone that was so close to Pope John Paul II. From what they have said on FOX News, Pope Benedict XVI might be just as appealing to all people as he was.
One thing...They gotta work on that smoke.

Regardless of what you think about religion, etc. Read this. It is very interesting to say the least....
