Jesus Christ returned to Earth to help the Boston Celtics in the exciting 2016-2017 season which would ultimately see the dominating Golden State Warriors defeat the mighty Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The Celtics were highly-ranked all season, and they did very very well, and many Bostonian fans and sports-writers from around the country were declaring that the Celtics might be the Eastern Conference team to topple the overbearing Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant led Warriors in the NBA Finals. This was all thanks to the magical work of Jesus who ensured the Celtics would be his Earthly diplomats in the triumphant battle over the AntiChrist.

However, the evil leprechaun Lubdan wanted to test Bostonians and NBA fans, so he released the power of the evil green dragon from the bottomless pit who used his poisonous breath to spread the false belief that the Celtics were merely a fluke rather than a phenomenon. The Celtics did indeed falter, and it was discovered (by Jesus) that Lubdan was the adversarial messenger who stood in opposition to the Celtics leprechaun mascot --- the otherwise optimistic/uplifting 'angel/avatar.' Well, the green dragon did his work to make NBA fans simply cool off in their support for the upstart Isaiah Thomas led Boston Celtics. It was a tragic last portion of the NBA season for the Celtics who fell at the hands of LeBron James' Cavaliers. No one would ever see a team like the Boston Celtics again. Lubdan had won...

As the green dragon descended back into the bottomless pit, Lubdan returned to his ghoulish cave in Ireland. Jesus wept and declared that the power of the AntiChrist was at hand, and he declared that the Celtics' terrible defeat at the hands of the Goliath-like Cavs (the only team remaining to challenge the overbearing Warriors) was a sure-sign that the AntiChrist was on Earth to seduce men away from competitive sports festivity and towards domination/marketing gluttonies and defeatist statements --- e.g., "The team with the highest-paid athletes should always win!" After all, it wasn't salary that motivated the athlete --- it was the pure magic of the game. Jesus waited patiently for the AntiChrist as God's archangel Michael guarded him, making sure that no one diffused the Christian spirit of televised professional American sports! Metropolis would prevail...
