94 million? riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight

FOOD STAMPS arent going to drop by 13 million in the 14 months or so obama has left.

which means they will be higher when he leaves office then when he entered office

what will you have to say then idiot??????

show me "empirical data" that has the food stamp rate dropping at a rate so the obama wont have a net increase in food stamp enrollment when he leaves office ok??

the economy is fine, unless you're from the right, their economy sucks. You'd think they would learn something by now.

Food Stamp Participation Under Previous President

2000 17,194,000
2008 28,223,000

Plus 11,029,000

When the recession ended in 2010....the number was over 40,000,000. You cannot....logically.....saddle Obama with the recession. Period. His number starts at 40,000,000.

The numbers do not favor your argument.

SNAP Costs Declining, Expected to Fall Much Further | Center on Budget and Policy Priorities

you've been shown Goobie .... AGAIN.

CBO’s forecast indicates SNAP is not part of the long-term budget problem. As the economic recovery continues and fewer low-income people qualify for SNAP, CBO expects SNAP spending to fall further in future years, returning to its 1995 level as a share of GDP by 2020. (See Figure 1.) Thus, while CBO recently projected that the overall gap between federal spending and revenues will grow starting in 2018,[2] SNAP is not contributing to this problem; CBO forecasts that SNAP will decline as a share of the economy over the entire ten-year budget window

empirical enough for you Goobie ?

LMAO

Being a high school, college or graduate student, a senior citizen, a stay-at-home parent, a job-training participant, or having a disability is no excuse for not holding down a job, or for working less than 40 hours in a week.

Now get out there and WORK.

High school?

The New Twit was right when he said grade school kids should be cleaning toilets at the rich kids' schools. Pubs already have grade school and middle school kids **working in tobacco fields, no bathroom breaks, slave wages - but hey, that's just a start.

**See the documentary, Food Inc.

Nutbags won't be satisfied until we lie to them and concede that the economy is in the tank and getting worse by the day. It's a great hope of theirs that just hasn't materialized. They have a collective sad.

we'd like you to ackowledge your victims idiot.
start by explaining how things can be so great and 13 MILLION MORE are on food stamps in obama YEAR SEVEN MAYBE IDIOT???

before you go there nutcase we already know you can work and get food stamps. are THESE the jobs obama "created"????

it's a yes or no question dummy. be a man for once and give it a try ok????

The economy tanked in 2008. The residual effects are still with us. Dumb shit.

and this is exactly why you get laughed at daily

thanks!! ;)

Are you aware that you get laughed at far more regularly than any other person posting in this thread? Do you know how low you are on the USMB totem pole?

His only path to victory is post count. By that measure he is the champ. Lucky for him relevance isn't considered.

Is the US economy better or worse today than it was on January 20th, 2009?

A one word answer will work, dummy.

worse idiot, and in many ways too

You is cray-cray.

kindly address the food stamps issue or STFU ok?

What food stamp issue? The one where usage and cost has begun to decline? That one?

the one where it is still 13 MILLION HIGHER than it ever got under Bush. YES LOON; that "declining" one!!

lol!!

Of course it's higher than " under Bush". Obama expanded the SNAP program. It's now available to more people than it was. That doesn't indicate anything other than more people qualify now.

Actually Obama's eligibility adjustment was of a lesser magnitude than Scrub's of circa 2003....and it was temporary...

except that you still have to be supposedly poor and "food deprived" do you not idiot?

or did obama change that item too to just give food to people that dont actually need it???

The truth of the matter, though, is that Republicans are the ones responsible for the rise in poverty, not Obama.....he can do the best he can but the obstinant Republicans in Congress determine what bills get passed. And since they have majority in both House and Senate, Obama can't really do much other than sign Executive Orders, and then they just whine and bitch that he has signed too many.

You can't fix stupid.

Family homelessness was not a big problem in America until the 1980s when cuts to social programs, particularly programs for low-income housing, sent many poor families into the street. Those who have a memory likely remember that it was in the 1980s that Republicans’ man-god, Ronald Reagan, told Americans that “government is the problem,” and their mortal enemy, and promptly slashed social programs for the poor. Reagan pulled a similar inhumane stunt while governor of California and ordered all of the state’s mental institutionsshuttered killing countless jobs and sending thousands of mentally ill patients, en masse, into the streets. It is the Republican lack of humanity for those least advantaged, particularly America’s children, that Republicans pant to repeat when they take control of Congress.

In the aftermath of hurricane Katrina, the number of homeless children increased temporarily, but the statistics appeared to decline as victims found housing. However, thanks to the Bush-Republican Great Recession destroying millions of jobs, and GOP banking deregulation that created the housing crisis, child homelessness shot back up to a sickening 1.6 million by 2010. Due to Republican obstruction and cuts to housing assistance, and failure to even consider raising the federal poverty wage, the rate of child homelessness continues to climb. According to the report, child homelessness surged by 8% nationally by 2012 and it is down to poverty wages that are declining against the rise in the cost of living. Coupled with inhumane austerity cuts, the GOP is getting precisely what they apparently live for; more despair and destitution among the poor, especially children.

I'm halfway through a Doctoral program, and work a full time job, about 70 hours a week.

You are either not in a science program, married with kids or the job is part of the doctoral program.

In the pure sciences, you are given a grant to help pay for tuition and expenses within the first year, or they are telling you to leave!!
