9 out of 10 Americans completely wrong

Let's see, the world according to you-tube says that the top 1% owns 40% of America's wealth and the bottom 80% own 7%. It must mean the middle class own 53% of America's wealth. That's a pretty good deal even for whiny neo-socialists ain't it?

Do you really believe people making $millions are in the middle class?

The middle class is part of the 80% that own only 7% of our wealth. The top 20%, the rich own 93% of our wealth and the top 1% of them owns 40% of our wealth.

I'm beginning to think math isn't your strong point. Did you even watch the video?

9 Out Of 10 Americans Are Completely Wrong About This Mind-Blowing Fact - YouTube

Check out this video. What we believe is reality in wealth distribution isn't even close. The top 1% own 40% of the nations wealth while the bottom 80% own 7% of our nations wealth. 7%!

I don't understand how anyone can defend this.

I guess the bottom 80% need to start saving more.

It's hard to save what you don't have.

I used to be a financial adviser and everyone and I do mean everyone can find some money to save every month they just don't have the desire to do so.

You still haven't told me how another's wealth diminishes your capability to accumulate wealth.

If your net worth, a measure of wealth, goes up it does not mean someone else's goes down. Conversely if another's net worth increases yours does not decrease.

I would doubt you'd find any economist that agrees with you.
As opposed to who?

My mother lives in Mexico and has for over a decade, I've been out of the country more times than I count.

They refuse the big box stores through government, not through individual buyers choosing to pay more.

Uh...no.
The governments, especially local, in Europe disallow the buildings out of public outcry.
You see...European officials still have the audacity to consider public interest over corporate interest.
I am extremely pro-business. Corporatism is not pro-business, it is extremely damning to the economy.

That's my point, Ricky. In Europe they don't have the big box stores because people acted through government to stop them, not because Europeans happen to like to pay more for things than Americans.

You are so over-complicating this.

Not true, but thanks for playing.

Good grief, use your brains. How do you save money when you don't even make enough to cover expenses? When you end up at the food bank at the end of the month because there isn't enough food? Or do you believe they should go to the food bank the whole month and save THAT money?

So the answer is no, you didn't watch the video. Watch it and then let's talk. It's not very long.

In the 21st century, how can people still have such crude, limited views?

Wealth permits control of government, tools of brainwashing, and innumerable other aspects of modern life.

The power of wealth allows the rich to benefit themselves and exploit you.

Is that simple enough, or are you so far down the food chain that you can't see anything other than the McDonald french-fry machine you are tending?

Reduce your expenses.

And if a person is completely unable to earn enough to live then they can go on the dole.

Again there is no definition of "wealth" given.

And the simple fact is that nothing is stopping anyone from increasing their net worth. There is no "fair" or "unfair" shit.

If you want to increase your wealth the only one that is stopping you is you.

All that video shows me is that people are stupid.

So then, you lied when you said "everybody" can save money. Thanks for playing.

Yes, we have allowed our country to go to the wealthy instead of the workers.

Good lord, another "they need to give me more so I don't have to do anything at all" thread by the site welfare queen.

Yay.

It is kind of funny Sallow derided the conservative "lottery mentality" which happens to be "pay to play" yet seems not to have a clue about the liberal "lottery mentality" which is nothing more than "let others pay so you can play"

Immie

No Because everybody can. They might have to stop wasting money on what they think are "necessities" That is how they reduce expenses in order to save.

Who is stopping you from increasing your net worth and thereby your wealth?

You just said if they don't make enough to live they can go on the dole, how are they going to save anything if they don't make enough to live?

Better question, how is it that when the pie got bigger, the only people who made more were in the top 20%? Do you really think 80% of us didn't work as hard? That we stopped getting educations? Please explain why you think that the increase in wealth has concentrated on the top 20% instead of on the middle class workers?

People on welfare don't work. They are not allowed to have savings of any significant level.

If you are working and not on the dole you can find money to save every month.

Because the so called middle class doesn't think saving money is a priority.

Now tell me who has stopped you from reducing your debt and saving money?
