61% of Israeli's oppose Iran attack

Are you kidding. They support terror all over the world. They are helping Syria slaughter it's own people. They fund and train hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, and much more. They have sworn to drive Israel into the sea many times this year alone. Of course they are going to be concerned about what Iran might do. And just for the record the Iran & Iraq war was 1980-1988 making it one of longest conventional wars in history.
But not as long as the US invasion and occupation of Afghanistan.

It seems obvious the US is the only country on this planet that's maimed, murdered, incarcerated, and displaced millions of Muslim civilians in the last ten years.

This might explain why 57% of Arabs believe the Middle East would be more peaceful if Iran had the bomb:

"With regard to nuclear weapons, rather remarkably, a majority -- in fact, 57Ðsay that the region would have a positive effect in the region if Iran had nuclear weapons.

"Now, these are not small numbers. 80, 77, say the U.S. and Israel are the major threat. 10 say Iran is the major threat. This may not be reported in the newspapers here -- it is in England -- but it's certainly familiar to the Israeli and U.S. governments, and to the ambassadors.

"But there is not a word about it anywhere. What that reveals is the profound hatred for democracy on the part of our political leadership and the Israeli political leadership."

What would Iran do with the bomb? Besides hauling it around in parades and putting it on display. I can't think of a single thing.

Chomsky's hateful drivelaggio.
When will you and Hillary stop lying?

"One of the most interesting (Wikileaks) cables was a cable from the U.S. ambassador in Israel to Hillary Clinton, which described the attack on Gaza -- which we should call the U.S./Israeli attack on Gaza -- December 2008.

"It states correctly there had been a truce.

"It does not add that during the truce -- which was really not observed by Israel -- but during the truce, Hamas scrupulously observed it according to the Israeli government, not a single rocket was fired. That's an omission. But then comes a straight line: it says that in December 2008, Hamas renewed rocket firing and therefore Israel had to attack in self-defense.

"Now, the ambassador surely is aware that there must be somebody in the American Embassy who reads the Israeli press -- the mainstream Israeli press -- in which case the embassy is surely aware that it is exactly the opposite: Hamas was calling for a renewal of the cease-fire. Israel considered the offer and rejected it, preferring to bomb rather than have security.

"Also omitted is that while Israel never observed the cease-fire -- it maintained the siege in violation of the truce agreement -- on November 4, the U.S. election 2008, the Israeli army invaded Gaza, killed half a dozen Hamas militants, which did lead to an exchange of fire in which all the casualties, as usual, were Palestinian.

"Then in December, Hamas -- when the truce officially ended -- Hamas called for renewing it.

"Israel refused, and the U.S. and Israel chose to launch the war.

"What the embassy reported is a gross falsification and a very significant one since -- since it has to do the justification for the murderous attack -- which means either the embassy hasn't a clue to what is going on or else they're lying outright."

Chomsky wants to know.

You should ask Gilad Shalit (or the Muammar Brothers)

"But basically, Israel claims that when the truce was established in the summer 2008, Israel's reason for not observing it and withdrawing the siege was that there was an Israeli soldier -- Gilad Shalit -- who was captured at the border.

"International commentary regards this as a terrible crime.

"Well, whatever you think about it, capturing a soldier of an attacking army -- and the army was attacking Gaza -- capturing a soldier of an attacking army isn't anywhere near the level of the crime of kidnapping civilians.

"Just one day before the capture of Gilad Shalit at the border, Israeli troops had entered Gaza, kidnapped two civilians -- the Muammar Brothers -- and spirited them across the border.

"They've disappeared somewhere in Israel's prison system, which is where hundreds, maybe a thousand or so people are sometimes there for years without charges. There are also secret prisons. We don't know what happens there."

Possibly Mordechai Vanunu knows "what happens there."

Good question. Iran has no intention of bombing Israel.

Unlike Israel and the US which constantly threaten to bomb Iran, in violation of International Law, btw.

"Both Israel and the U.S. have positioned nuclear-armed submarines in the region. Israel has conducted multiple tests on its missile defense systems to protect its citizens once war breaks out. U.S. and Israeli Special Forces have been deployed inside Iran to investigate potential targets and gauge the willingness of Iranians to overthrow the current regime."

They be willing, George.

Were we discussing the Iranians or Forbians? The Iranians will hang up ol' Ajad by his nut sack.

Sounds like a painful yet promising start.
Who's next?

Get over yourself. Most Israelis support the attack on Iran's nuclear.
With or without US support?

"Israeli support for a unilateral attack on Iran has collapsed - dramatically. By a huge margin of over two to one, Israelis believe that it would be a mistake for Israel to attack Iran without US support. 61% oppose a unilateral attack, while only 27% support it."

Poll: Majority of Jewish Israelis oppose attack on Iran

The link was published August 16, 2012; I'm not sure about when the poll was taken.

Paper weight or Parade Float, Not for anyone to decide but Iran. Iran is a sovereign nation and can do what they want. Where do other countries get off on telling another country what they can and can't do inside their borders. Now if they use it beyond their borders that is a whole different subject, but until they do, they should be free to do as they please.
Think about this, The US had the bomb first, Would it have been legal or even prudent to bomb Russia before they finished their bomb?

Russia wouldn't have had the bomb if Eisenhower hadn't stopped Patton.

Having "the bomb" is something for the iranians like having a diamond ring is for a woman----it will make them feel better. In the case of a woman with a diamond ring is makes her feel BEAUTIFUL when she gets dressed----in the case of Iranians it will make them feel powerful as they tie bombs to the malodorous asses of their sluts

At the turn of the century the world peace seemed to be just around the corner. Then 9-11 and Bush going ape shit. The question is how do we rebuild what was lost.

Bombing Iran sure is not the answer btw. What I am saying is there was something there before. It is still there if we can just touch it once again.

In contrast, it's a little hard to believe that the only country in the ME with nuclear weapons (over 200), is the victim here and feels threatened.

There is no legal justification for Israel to takes steps to remain the only nuclear power in the ME.

Bombing Iran's nuclear sites will be the first step to curing the world of Islam. Then, if people want to be Muslims, they can keep it to themselves and not push it onto the world. Can't anyone not see that the whole problem in the world today is the advance of cancerous Islam? Nuff said.

No, you're the problem!

War-mongering assholes making up reasons to attack sovereign nations, just like the nazis did to Poland.

your comment is typically shallow and clearly a support of the suicide pig attacks on Israeli children which provide you with joy and deep gratification In fact you comment is also an endorsement of terrorist attacks on the United States and the bombings of trains and public buildings in other parts of the world by people who according to you have a RIGHT based ono "not having a nuclear bomb" When dogs justify biting simply because they are missing a few teeth----I am always reminded of the Armenian Genocide-----in which the dogs murdered two million using only knives and clubs-------and the biafran kids lying dead in the mud from starvation due to jihadist siege------and the hindu kids fleeing jihadist filth in east pakistan-----falling dead in their tracks while the jihadist dogs complain "BUT WE DO NOT HAVE THE BOMB"

A few years back the Iranian government was in a state of 'what now?'. There were moderates and extremists. America pulled out a big gun. Moderates moved to the back and the extremists lined up in front to meet the challenge. Now you are saying all you can see is extremists. Look a little deeper.
