What you have in these extreme gun controlled countries.....mass shootings that kill lots of people when they happen.....at the moment they are less rare, doing more with European culture, but they kill far more people at a whack......the three biggest mass shootings happened in Norway, South Korea and now Tunisia.......

all of the people were disarmed by law and culture...and the police were unable to respond quickly enough.....

And their gun control laws didn't stop the killings........

And Europe is importing immigrants from some of the most dangerous, war torn countries on the planet.....many with beliefs openly hostile to Europe......and one day they will have a spike in violence that will make any violence in the U.S. look like a tea party....

With 39 killed in Tunisia attack the top three mass public shootings six of the worst 10 are outside the United States - Crime Prevention Research Center crimeresearch.org

After the Charleston massacre, President Obama made this comment: “this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries.” The three worst public mass shootings and six of the worst 10 public mass shootings occurred outside the US. Of these cases, nine occurred in developed or “advanced” countries. The worst public mass shooting are as follows:

4) Blacksburg, Virginia, USA, April 16, 2007: Seung-Hui Cho killed 32 people and wounded 17 by gun fire at Virginia Tech University.

5) Newtown, Connecticut, USA, December 14, 2012: 20-year-old Adam Lanza killed 26 people at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

10) Hungerford, UK, August 19, 1987: Michael Robert Ryan killed 16 people, but they occurred at several locations.

Other cases: 15 killed in a small northern Brazilian town on May 24, 1997; 15 killed at the Winnenden School in Winnenden, Germany on March 11, 2009. The Zug Switzerland shooting left 14 people killed in September 27, 2001. The 1966 University of Texas shooting left 14 people dead (wife and mother were killed through other means). May well be true, but what is the rate in the civilized West?

Actually, that doesn't matter, 1st or 3rd world. Guys like you tell us, preach to us, that if you simply ban guns, or make extreme gun control laws then there will be little to no gun violence.....and if that is true, then even in 3rd world countries that would be true...since you claim the laws will stop the gun crime...you tell us this all the time. Then you make excuses for the 3rd world...and then you make excuses for the ease that criminals in Europe get fully automatic weapons whenever they want them

You tell us the laws themselves preventing gun ownership will make the society less violent......and you are wrong.

Jake: Actually, it does, unless you are comparing Alabama with Tunisia, then it makes a little sense.

let me clarify.....what doesn't matter is that you guys say gun laws stop gun violence....and if that was true then there would be little to no gun violence in the 3rd world since most countries in the 3rd world have more extreme gun control than we do...so no.....it doesn't matter...since Europe has stricter gun control that we do but their culture of pacifism makes their events more rare, but more horrible in the number of innocent people killed.....
