Even the Biblical stories say that the Philistines of Gaza were never invaded by the Jews.
It they had and Gaza had been Jewish, there would have been no story of Sampson and Delilah.
Sampson was Jewish and since Delilah was Philistine, Sampson got captured by the Philistines.
