I got a butcher (chef's) knife made from a German sawmill blade. It cleaves frozen meat.

Not even Stainless, it's Carbon steel. It's my favorite knife to do cooking things with.

I got knives, and I got Knives.

I just got a machete with a saw blade for like..$6.

I think I'll seek out a bushaxe next. Them things got some whomp to them.

Best bush blade ever made.....
The Kukris.

The front loaded blade will chop through damn near anything yet you can still get precision cutting near the haft.

It won't chop things like a bushaxe will.

5" sapling in 2-3 whacks.

Thats a Ditch bank blade.
Had one I used as a fire tool. Ya stick em with the point and drag it into the fire,or use it to move big logs that are already burning to a more advantageous position.

Loved that thing!!
I think I eventually burned the handle off in a drunken stupor one night at the weekend place.

I've got the skinner, but haven't used it much. Good knives though.

Guard is done. Leather was soaked in water. Built a simple press for the handle to compress and dry in...also to be used after the glueing.

What would you use it for?
It appears to be double edged with no quillion or guard?
Accident waiting to happen.
They are good quality steel. Great for modding, and rehandling. I see at least one boot knife in the works. Another will likely get serrated on one edge for a utility knife. Dual purpose and great for cutting strapping, and cordage.

Really diggin' that boot knife idea...

Impulse purchase: Old Hickory 73-6"
They’re handy. But a good knife requires a good sheath as well. I think I’ll have my buddy who’s into that kind of thing, see what he can do.

I've got something similar, but with a shorter handle, from Fisker...
