Considering the average family on welfare in DC receives benefits of $43,000 a year, you are probably right.Just wow! And the rolls have doubled since then. Sounds like there needs to be some major changes made, as there is nothing real to show for that $22 trillion spent on the declared war on poverty. That is 3 times more than defense has spent since the American Revolution..
The poor today have cell phones, a/c, cable tv, and a computer. 40% have wide screen hdtv's and internet service. None of what they receive is included in their total income.
Maybe they're not so poor anymore.
To bad I'm not a single Mom....
