I found this old model Ruger Bearcat w/holster today.....I figured it would make for a great revolver to start my G-Grandson off on given it's small size.

It shows it's age but was not abused, still tight.....I have $300.00 in it.....Not a "smoking deal" but a fair one.

It gets it's name due to both a bear and bobcat roll pressed onto the cylinder.

The Bearcats are best enjoyed with standard velocity ammo due to it's rather petite alloy frame.

Here it is compared to a old model Single-Six of like vintage so you can see the advantage of training with the Bearcat and growing into a larger .22 revolver.

I like it because it's a "pre-warning" revolver.

He's got a couple years to go yet but there's no reason not to be prepared. ;)

Yeah, I know the people I buy for pretty well. And when I come across something I know they will appreciate, at a really good price.....I will grab it and keep it for their next birthday, Cmas, anniversary, or whatever.

When I was younger......all my Cmas shopping was done BEFORE Halloween.
