Society owes a debt to rehabilitate the criminals that the society has created.

The sickness is in the few modern first world countries that still administer the death penalty.

If there's a debate can take place over the death penalty, it would be best for people like you to read the pros and cons and then after you've heard opinions you could join the discussion.

I have made previous comments that the Death Penalty should PRIMARILY be based on DNA which they have. In this particular case there is other evidence. What opposite result? Most states are very lenient when it comes to capital punishment. People who mercilessly rape, torture and kill get the death penalty SOMETIMES and often have decades to prepare for their execution knowing full well they could easily de of natural causes by then. Many just spend life behind bars so at least we don't have to find out the hard way they haven't turned a single leaf of morality since their conviction. So what the hell is your point?! You have very little to show for your advocacy of "rehabilitation". It is experimental,always has been and has never been more than a perpetual experiment. Absolutely nothing shows that it is more promising in stopping murder, rape and torture. Gambling on rehab for horrible people is just that: GAMBLING. The vast majority of people who truly get pleasure out of killi g or hurting will do it again. Crimes of passion are usually isolated. A person can do 25, 30 years in some cases and walk free eventually having redeemed theirselves. Some do it in less time and are paroled.

So, anyway. PLEASE, show us evidence of your amazing state-sponsored rehabilitation.
