Obama, even for all his initial splendor, never drew this much support. ESPECIALLY not 3 years into his presidency. By that point most of the republicans who had given him a chance had bailed. So I can understand why these people hate trump so much, the ridiculous of it notwithstanding. He increasingly gets more and more dems to flip even after his first term is almost finished, whereas Obama was progressively losing support by that point.
