How can that be? Surely not that terrible “voter fraud” so many Libtards refuse to accept as existing. And we can all expect their attacks against the source of this.

The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) has put 141 counties on notice across the United States that they have more registered voters than people alive. PILF has sent 141 statutory notice letters to county election officials in 21 states. The letters are a prerequisite to bringing a lawsuit against those counties under Section 8 of the federal National Voter Registration Act (NVRA).

States with counties which received a notice letter are (# of counties): Michigan (24), Kentucky (18), Illinois (17), Indiana (11), Alabama (10), Colorado (10), Texas (9), Nebraska (7), New Mexico (5), South Dakota (5), Kansas (4), Mississippi (4), Louisiana (3), West Virginia (3), Georgia (2), Iowa (2), Montana (2), North Carolina (2), Arizona, Missouri, New York (1 each). Federally produced data show the letter recipients have more registrants than living eligible citizens alive.

I count 4 blue states, 2 swing states, and.........15 red states. Granted Michigan and Illinois were two of the top three.

Anyway, it's pretty easy to explain....people die, and people move away. Both cases would result in the outcome of having less people actually living in the county.

I expect the vast majority of the counties are small, rural counties with a couple thousand or even couple hundred people.

Again, whenever you hear a conservative talking about "cutting spending to the bone" what he is talking about is this: getting rid of people in government who would do things like following up on removing dead persons from the voting rolls. These are the stakes of bare-bones government spending folks.

Also, it should be noted that the turnout for the most heated elections we have is somewhere near 60% nationally. What the OP is trying to do (and solidifying his reputation of being wrong 100% of the time in the process) is claim there is a problem where there are none. While I support there is a need for a picture ID when casting a ballot; no large election has ever turned on voter impropriety. Still, one mis-cast ballot is too much. Not necessarily for the sake of the parties and losers like the OP's validation; but for the sake of the voter wishing to make sure she supports her candidates/causes with her vote.

People come and go. They generally are not removed from voter roles until they haven't voted for a while. This is not a big issue though unless you have some proof that they are all voting, but I am willing to wager that is not happening. BTW, I would imagine that these counties include counties that would be considered heavily Republican, heavily Democratic, and one that are evenly split. Last of all, there are 3007 counties in the US, so this is less than 5%.
