It goes without saying that not all Israelis approve of the occupation of the Palestinian Territories although they must be in a minority. Given the official government history of Israel written by Zionists and the willingness of Israelis to elect these to government together with the brainwashing in Israeli schools, it is a miracle that any whatever will raise a voice of dissent.

Maybe comfort can be taken by the presence of Israeli opposition Labor Party leader Isaac Herzog who addressed the event and backed the idea of an independent Palestinian state as a solution to the decades-long conflict. But please, no false hope. If the Israelis would give Netanyahu and his settlement friends the boot, who knows what Herzog might accomplish.

It is difficult to believe that the Israeli government could mount a 50-year military operation at such a high cost and with repercussions on what this means for the Israeli people and state without overwhelming popular support of its Jewish citizens.

For someone who professes a respect for mathematics, your numbers have rather clouded the issue. It is unreasonable to suggest, as you do, that all the Jews in the world who object to the military occupation of the Palestinian Territories actually traveled to Tel Aviv in order to participate in the protest.
