Gas prices were lower in 2016 than 2017, 2018 and 2019.
But Trump lowered gas prices in 2020.

It was the free market at work as oil prices fell due to Covid under Benedict Donald. That was the driving force for the production slow down in 2020 in the US Oil Patch. OPEC nations have quotas and their governments mostly control production. Pipelines transporting foreign oil have nothing to do with US production. Biden didn't stop any drilling and only paused new drilling permits for about a month when he took office. Benedict Donald was the one who begged the Saudis to cut production in 2020. They obliged him and didn't return to full production for a long time after the world's economy started working again, spiking the price and spurring on worldwide inflation.and who cut US production?
