Yes, I would, if I knew I could get $50 K for it.

Oboes are cool instruments, in any case. Mozart, DVorak, and Bach all wrote concertos for it.

Only if I could resell it for a profit.

If you want the best, that's around what you'll pay.

Pretty cool looking and sounding for something that you just wiggle your fingers with and fills up with your spit and bacteria!

I prefer to spend $40K on a really good guitar or drum set.

I prefer to lead rather than follow.

I wouldn't pay 5 dollars for one. 1300 for my guitar was a lot!

For $10,000, I would build a pretty decent climate controlled recording studio in my backyard.....and like you , I would probably spend the rest on guitars, amps and pedals & various recording gadgets.

Fuck Y'all I'm From Texas!
I think a lot of the cost comes from the snob factor.
With CNC's today you could make one much cheaper and hold closer tolerances.
In the end you'd probably need some tuning and final fitting but thats about it.

Over there
1. Explain why this painting cost $137.5 million dollars?
2. How much would you pay for it if you saw it in a second hand store?
