More proof the Democrat party is not for the working people and old folks. Republicans should run ads showing them throwing Granny off a cliff……and the single mom trying to buy formula for her kids working as a waitress.

The Dems are the party of the rich, white, liberal elite.

Yes, the parties freeze up and vote against stuff they'd normally vote for. That's because the parties have become so tribal that they're afraid to move a fucking muscle.

Their top priority is getting re-elected, it's not doing what's best. Both parties.

The system is set up to fail, and sure as shit, it is.

The budget resolution does not contain a bill eliminating taxes on tips, as some have mistakenly claimed on social media. In fact, it contains no policy prescription at all, but it does give direction for what legislators should try to achieve and has officially kickstarted the process of passing through Trump's promised legislation, including ending taxes on tips.

There was no vote on the elimination of tax on tips or social security. The above post is from Feb 26th or 27th and neither social or tips were taken up.

Fake news OP.

If eliminating tax cuts on tips isn’t in the bill why does your lefty link claim the package including tax cuts in tips will “cost” $100-$550 billion over ten years?:cuckoo:

The bill did not contain that provision. What part are you not understanding? There are no tax provisions in a CR. There can't be! The OP is guilty of fake news. I am a conservative and I can see it. Why can't you?

Why should people earning money by tips be tax free when my earnings are taxed?

Good. I don't support it either. It's yet one more complication to the tax code. Instead of carving out another exemption for another group, they should do tax reform across the board, like a flat tax with no deductions.

Additionally, we have servers here on the Las Vegas Strip who earn six figures a year and around 80% of that income is tip income. Do you think it's fair that someone who makes $120K a year should pay tax on only 20% of their income while someone working an hourly or salaried job making $60K pay it on 100% of theirs?

There is nothing “fair” about our tax system.

Flat tax will never happen.

Democrats don't support working men and women. They want more tax dollars from them.
Tax Dollars gives them power. And grift.

Look at all the grift from Sponge Brains Shits and his gang of thieves, Billions.... No, TENS of Billions. And that's just what we know about. How many other Billions and Trillions have they gotten with stealing?

One of the biggest thieves is through the EPA.... "How can you be against clean air?" And don't forget the Classic, "It's for the CHILDREN!"? They award the EPA billions in tax dollars with phony shell companies sitting there waiting for the money. Then it disappears. The money and the company.

The DoJ? Hell, they're in on it most of the time? Judges? The biggest criminals in the Country. Virtually every one of them is on the take. Even the small time Judges. Who hasn't heard of the Judge that you gave your Attorney "X" amount of money and "Don't ask any questions"? And the charges would disappear. Had to have the 'right' attorney. Public Defender will get your ass locked up.

Since when would a dem ever vote for a tax decrease?

They are takers, not producers.
Yes, it is very creative how the dems claim they don't want to extend the 2017 tax cut law because all it does is give the rich more tax breaks. First, if the cuts are extended it doesn't give them MORE tax cuts. Things would continue on as is. Second, the tax cuts helped out everyone who paid taxes, including the poor and the middle class. If the 2017 tax cuts are not extended, it raises taxes on the poor and middle class.
