I don't watch TV, my viewing is on YouTube through my phone. But I've noticed 90% of the time, I get bogged down in adverts. So I immediately copy the URL and paste it in Firefox where I'm not signed into YouTube and have an ad blocker. So that's the advert issue kinda sorted, but annoying.
But I noticed when listening to music on the app, I have to have the volume on max through my headphones, and it's still quite. But listening to the same song through Firefox, it's much much louder. Is this the case as opposed to a hidden setting somewhere?
