Of course it causes bleeding, it’s an anti-platelet. It’s used to prevent blood clots in people at risk for strikes or heart attacks. Usually just a low dose daily 81mg.

I’ve been a nurse for 12 years and have never once administered aspirin for pain. Frankly, it’s only old people who still think of it as a pain med.

If people are taking large amounts of aspirin as a pain med, they’re at fault for not following directions.
