In local and state elections it certainly can matter.....23 votes separate two gop hopefuls in a NC state senate primary race. Around 27K voted in that primary election.

North Carolina Senate leader Phil Berger — who trails in the Republican primary to retain his Triad-area seat — filed several protests over the race Tuesday, hours after also requesting a recount of the ballots.

The moves kicked off what could be an odyssey of ballot-counting and last-ditch legal maneuvers to erase Rockingham Sheriff Sam Page’s 23-vote lead in the high-profile race. The race has attracted national attention because it could mean an extraordinary end to the political career of the man who, for over a decade, has been one of the most powerful people in North Carolina politics.

Ask Al Gore

He lost the Presidency by 500 votes in a state run by his opponents brother

It only mattered if one had a preference of one over the other.

Being active in the Party on the inside is where votes matter a lot. You want to make a difference join your political party as a precinct captain and vote on the direction of the Party which will affect the direction of our nation.

He also lost his own state. DURR.
A Red State
After his final legal appeal failed, Gore conceded for the good of the country.

An interesting fact is that as Vice President, he certified the election on Jan 6
The event Trump tried to steal.

It only matters in the primaries of the majority party in that district. Otherwise your vote means less than nothing.

If you are a Blue voter in a Red State your vote went for the Red candidate.
Makes no sense to cast a ballot for President in a state that leans heavily for the other party

The commissioner of one of the Prog Southeast counties had a stupid ballot design. And Pat Buchanon got votes that were meant for Gore. FOX called the race while the panhandle which is an hour behind in time was still voting and is mostly Republican. Gore had no excuse losing his home state in a tight race. He wins Tennessee, he is President. Florida means nothing.
