that much repentance would seem more staged than real, self serving insurance policy. the idea is - to sin no more - which would include not reading the desert bibles forever if possible which would indicate you truly are dooomed as surly that addiction you have isn't going anywhere.

Repentance gives hope to those for doing things that are foolish or wrong. Doing these things can explode one's life. Sins are like pitfalls in one's life that one may not have even fallen into yet, repentance allows for filling them up so you don't fall in and ruin your life.

Some folks may see repentance for evil deeds they have done, some repent for thinking about doing evil deeds. It helps to not justify sin.
