That's the gist of this story from WaPo (archived, of course).

The current infrastructure can't handle what we have now, with just a few burgeoning AI data centers and a miniscule number of electric cars.

Ohio power companies want to charge data centers for these upgrades...and I suspect surcharges for households with charging stations aren't far behind...

If I put my ass up to my gas tank and fart it does run for a couple miles. I suppose if I ate 10lbs of beans I could probably get 20 miles.
