Yes it is a good idea to brief oneself when setting out to support your right to protest. .....

Never assume your right to protest is known by ICE, Trump, local law enforcement, Proud Boys etc etc etc.
Below is descriptive information that is good to have in your pocket. I read that Trump has hired Proud Boys to invade the protest by encouraging protest. If anyone sees some violently harassing call the local law enforcement as assault&battery, trespassing etc etc etc are charges that should be considered.

The First Amendment protects your right to assemble and express your views through protest. However, police and other government officials are allowed to place certain narrow restrictions on the exercise of speech rights.

One of the Rights that should not exist in the form it currently does.

I do wish I wasn’t already confirmed to attend a family event tomorrow. I’d love to show up at one (or more) of these protests in medieval clothing and chant “Long Live the King”

Remember the days before King Obama when American taxpayers were not required to have health insurance? When healthy young adults could decide how to spend their own money?

Remember when the US had healthcare like every other first world country? Oh wait.

Your right to speak, gather, and protest ends when it interferes with other law-abiding citizens exercising their rights of free movement, including in cars.

Knock yourself out. I have never met anyone whose mind was changed by watching a protest, other than during Vietnam, when stupidity was endemic.

Nobody has said they don't have the right to protest. Protesting and interfering are two different things.

Remember when the US had healthcare like every other first world country? Oh wait.
For the umpteenth time, show me in the constitution where it says the US is required to provide your parasitic butt with healthcare. After that, link to the healthcare provider that provided free healthcare for ANY of the framers. Oh wait--SMFH. Parasitic scum. Get your own healthcare, there are insurance companies just dying to take your money and Obama's ACA requires you to pay them.

Hmmmm. And after all of that irrelevant disjointed garbage that has no bearing on anything. Still nothing to suggest that Trump HIRED anyone, let alone the Proud Boys. Another failed LIE.

just wondering why you left the word "peaceful" out of your quote on the 1st amendment??

First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

correct me if I am wrong, but I dont see the word "protest" in the 1st A

Never assume your 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms is absolute and never assume that blocking traffic and burning cities is part of the 1st Amendment right to free speech. Good advice to illegal aliens who aren't covered by the Constitution and kids who grew up without a shred of information about American history.
