Would you vote for this man for President of the USA?

Damn straight Ronald Regan was awesome
Every one of the statements made in the OP is correct. Every single one! It should have also been noted that after the Marines were killed in Lebanon reagan spoke to the American people and promised that America would stand strong and not be driven out of Lebanon. Two months later ALL of the American troops were pulled out of Lebanon thereby showing that if you strike America hard enough this country will turn and run away. Bravo Mr reagan. Bravo for showing the terrorists that we can be driven out by one attack and giving them incentive to keep attacking us. Bravo.
The fact that you would vote for a man who was pretty much a traitor to this country shows the stupidity of the bottom of the barrel republicans.

Reagan made tax cuts also. The democrat congress lied, and overspent(sound familiar?).

Any misrepresentations he made were for national security, and they absolutely pale in comparison to the lies of the scumbucket we have in office now!

Yeah, it's not like Reagan had any veto power.

Unlike Obama, Reagan compromised for the good of the country. The Ds forced him to. Reagan was known to take a partial victory rather than severely damage our economy.
If reagan were around today and if he chose to compromise for the good of the nation the republicans in this country would condemn him at the top of their lungs and have him under the bus before he knew what hit him.

Yet the overall tax burden was lessened, even with having tax raises pushed forward by the DEM congress... but the little lefties trying to trick people harp on the tidbit that there were' seven raises'...

Idiots
Well, well, well Mr. Helper. Why don't you explain to the board what Reagan did for the National Debt. Didn't he almost triple the deficit and national debt?

Does 'borrow and spend' ring a bell? Plus he prefunded Soc. Sec. only to know with absolute certainty that his spending would plunder the trust fund.

Read much? The democrat congress overspent after lying and saying they would not! They lied just like you!
Apparently you have never hear of "The presidental veto." I suggest you get a copy of "The Constitution for Dummy's."

Umm, Ronnie Reagan made taxes seem like a good idea. He was the greatest. Too bad about the jihad attack on the Marines. Wouldn't you think Bill Clinton would have been aware of the jihad menace after Beirut?
So would george w bush but that never stopped him form putting troops in Afghanistan and Iraq. If he had been in office any longer I have no doubt he would have put troops into Iran also.

In the aggregate, Reagan's tax cuts were greater than his tax increases. He had the courage to admit his tax cuts were too deep.

Reagan also worked with his political opponents to reform the tax code and to reform welfare. He rolled back a great many tax expenditures.

He also had the guts to stand firm on raising interest rates to end the runaway inflation he inherited, even though he was being attacked from all sides for doing so. But he was right and he saved the economy.

And he was an optimist. A cheerful one. And he was chock full of superior ideas to the whining pessimists of the Left.

In short, a completely different kind of conservative Republican than exists today.

Well stated and oh so true.

Was Reagan perfect? Nope but he sure was head and shoulders above the current jackass in Chief.

I voted for the man twice. To bad he's not here and running for POTUS because I sure as shit would vote for him a third time.

Carter left him one inflation filled mess to clean up and he did.

Also never heard Reagan continually banging on Carter about that mess. To bad Barry didn't read Reagans playbook.

Yep. I'd vote for Reagan in a heartbeat.

"The Gipper" was an outstanding President. As a Republican from California, he was well respected by both Republicans and Democrats alike.

Here are some of his notable accomplishments:
1. Major Tax Cuts of 1981
2. Signed the INF treaty which reduced Russia's nuclear arms
3. Appointed the first female Supreme Court Justice (Sandra Day O'Connor).
4. Was influential in having the Berlin wall torn down
5. Was influential in ending the cold war
