To those of you that don't seem to remember...
Over all Biden's Presidential Inflation Rate (PIR) 15.0% the highest since Carter, 18.1% in 1976-1980.
Trump's PIR was the lowest of all the last 8 presidents...

Biden's energy PIR of 37.2% is nearly 23 times higher than Trump's 1.6%!

The numbers are the numbers.

The fact remains, the inflation was the result in trillions in economic stimulus, historically easy money, a global supply chain collapse, and a Fed that was 8 to 10 months behind in addressing the spike. Macroenomics does not turn on a dime. It is a process, the result of myriad conflicting currents.

The rest is standard partisan noise.

One number is directly the cause of Biden's ignorance!

Any, and I mean ANY person that drives a car relates to the stupid comment that Biden is guaranteeing the elimination of gas which drove up gas prices to $5.032/ gallon in June 2022.

Actually the oil companies are producing quite adequately and prolifically despite Biden's war on fossil fuels. Biden has nothing to do with that production.

Biden's war on fossil fuels however has discouraged oil companies from expanding refining capacity that continues to decline or to expand supplies beyond what is now available. Of course they pump as much oil as they can when prices are sky high.

And declining oil prices also tend to negatively affect the stock market and indicate a reduced demand which often is not a positive thing.

You can argue from now until Xmas , but what is round the corner will fracture the world and bring down USless, mainly because the dollar in real terms is worth zilch .

The new world will be built on more solid BRICS ++

Six refineries closed due to the global pandemic yes, but they continue to close or scale back operations since then. It certainly was not because of anything Trump did or proposed.

In looking at your link:Which U.S. refineries have shut since the global pandemic, and why?
This is what I read...
Limetree Bay Energy shut its St. Croix refinery due to financial problems in May 2021 (Biden was President in 2021!!! Not Trump)
after only operating for a few months, due to operational setbacks.
The refinery had already been idle for a decade before restart.
The plant was sold to a Jamaican oil storage facility in December 2021. read more

Now this refinery was "the company is converting the Martinez refinery to produce 260 million gallons per year of renewable diesel starting in 2023."

So here is what Chevron's CEO said was the reason THEY were closing refineries...
"You’re looking at committing capital 10 years out, that will need decades to offer a return for shareholders, in a policy environment where governments around the world are saying, ‘We don’t want these products.’”

The CEO of Chevron was saying this in response to Biden...

Must be since the right is claiming that Biden is running the oil production.

MARATHON, MARTINEZ CALIFORNIA, AND GALLUP, NEW MEXICO
CAPACITY: 161,000 bpd (Martinez); 27,000 bpd (Gallup)

Marathon Petroleum said in August 2020 that it would permanently close two refineries in Martinez, California, and Gallup, N.M. in response to lower fuels demand, after idling the facilities following COVID-19 outbreaks in the United States.

The company is converting the Martinez refinery to produce 260 million gallons per year of renewable diesel starting in 2023.

PHILLIPS 66 RODEO, CALIFORNIA
Capacity: 120,200 bpd

U.S. refiner Phillips 66 plans to fully convert its Rodeo, California, crude oil refinery into a renewable fuels plant using cooking oil and food wastes beginning in 2024.

HOLLYFRONTIER, CHEYENNE, WYOMING
Capacity: 52,000 bpd

HollyFrontier Corp said in June 2020 it would convert its Cheyenne refinery into a renewable diesel plant that would produce 6,000 bpd of renewable diesel. The company ceased refinery operations at Cheyenne the following month, making it the first U.S. refinery to close in 2020.

CALCASIEU REFINING - LAKE CHARLES, LOUISIANA
Capacity: 135,500 bpd

Calcasieu Refining shut its Lake Charles plant in early August of 2020, according to the Louisiana Department on Environmental Quality, citing demand loss during the pandemic.

Oh bullshit.

The reason they don’t expand production is because there is plenty of oil on the market and it will lower prices.

Must be since the right is claiming that Biden is running the oil production.
Nobody with a brain claims Biden is running oil production. But he has curtailed fuel production capacities and exploration for new sources of oil, natural gas, et al with his insane agenda to eliminate all fossil fuels within the next decade.

The most recent refinery built in the United States is the Texas International Terminals refinery in Channelview, Texas. It started operation in February of 2022. Refineries are often upgraded or expanded.

When was the last refinery built in the United States?

Biden and his asshole Dem pals really screwed the poor and middle class. Collateral damage, nothing stands in the way of Dems CRAMMING THROUGH the left wing agenda. So the poor and working class get screwed, they laugh about it behind closed doors.
