We can't envision this as we are all living in through the hypocrisy in real-time. I do imagine though, that there will be an assessment of this generation at the appropriate time in the distant future.
It could be 20 or 50 years, but every detail from the science to the mandates, declarations and hypocrisy of politicians will be dissected and on display. In particular, if at such time another global pandemic infects civilization and the appropriate lessons need to be applied.
If the world can ever circumvent the meme, "limited character chat", 100 BPM day-to-day existence that so many willingly inject into veins, we may have a more mature and honest discussion about what is most critical for the well being of each other, rather than the popularity of a menial, dishonest politician or three.
Case in point, take the 20 year anniversary of 9/11. At that time every decision made by Bush was accepted as gospel and immediately necessary. Today, with the benefit of hindsight, there are more who disagree with so many decision than agree. That was not possible in the moment, to our own detriment and so many others (many of them who now rest in peace).
