What will the democrats do about this? They'll just ignore the law like they always do. They sure did that in PA in 2020. The PA state constitution bans no excuse mail-in ballots but the dem gov sent out millions of them!

july 10 2024 Should President Joe Biden decide to exit the presidential race, Wisconsin law creates another impediment to Democrats replacing him.

Death is the only allowable reason for a candidate to drop out.

According to the state’s ballot access procedures, “Any person who files nomination papers and qualifies to appear on the ballot cannot withdraw their name from the ballot after filing. The name of that person shall appear upon the ballot except in case of death of the person.”

The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, has identified states, such as Wisconsin, where Democrats could face legal challenges if they try to replace Biden.

No Ballot is set until after the conventions
Trump has still not named a VP

What it means is as long as Biden withdraws before the convention, the replacement is valid

Biden shouldn't withdraw at all, if he refuses to quit the Presidency.

If he is cognitively able enough to be President, he is certainly able to stand for election.

Biden is still the choice of the rank and file in the D Party.

How do they know who will get the nomination until the official nomination is made at the convention?
Biden can't get off the ballot. Someone else could become the candidate, but it would cause confusion for low IQ Democrats, which is basically all of them.

This is a battleground state and hurts Joe the Vegetable for sure, though i suppose you can still write in his name.
