U.S American Meb Keflezighi wins Boston Marathon a year after bombing
He is the first American man to win since 1983. The annual race included 36,000 runners as the marathon continues after last year’s bombing that killed three people and injured more than 260 others. The event featured increased security and rules to increase safety. The day's first winner was Ernst van Dyk, of South Africa, who won the men’s wheelchair division of the Boston Marathon for a record 10th time.
