Welfare was started to help single mothers who's husbands died in WW2. Welfare was not started so Shenequa can have 5 kids with 6 different guys and not have to ever work because she's too busy raising those kids.
And then give her and all those kids free healthcare?
It almost makes me want to be poor.
And in some ways, that's not a joke. I know a lot of people who could probably make more working but they are on welfare, disability, medicaid, and they prefer to not work. Working isn't easy. Plus you first have to find a place that provides insurance. These people don't have educations so wherever they work probably doesn't give healthcare insurance.
But that's their choice to do such a job. Go work in factory. Work in the mail room at a big company. If you do a job that doesn't provide healthcare, maybe you shouldn't have had kids.
