Will renewables end up as landfill?

Most of the wide-eyed optimists I have spoken with about this inevitably say something along the lines of "In 20 years they will figure out who to recycle these things so no need to worry"

Not a concern of almost everybody........but they sure as hell are concerned about how much it costs before it goes into the landfill. We do know this.....original estimates of 20 year life span now being downgraded to 15 years or less. Plenty of info on this in the MORE PROOF THE SKEPTICS ARE WINNING thread.....always accessible on the first page of this forum.

Somebody in this thread spoke to the "wide eye'd optimism" of the alarmists. True indeed!

Meanwhile......did find this from Forbes, a big promoter of clean energy........

If Solar Panels Are So Clean, Why Do They Produce So Much Toxic Waste?

Forbes is a promoter of making money.

So... how are you going to recycle the waste products of fossil fuel power? And they're not sitting in a neat pile at the end of the day. They're floating around in our atmosphere. Any plans? Any wide-eyed optimism about that stuff?

Let's compare the amount of waste produced by a ten GW solar PV plant and a 10 GW coal plant over the course of 15 or 20 years.
