I’m seeing this man called Stephen Colbert and I’m wondering how he came to be where he is. When I look at this man I see a beady-eyed little rat, but others see a modern Guru. How did this come to pass? I need to think about this.

I don’t watch late night television anymore, but a lot of people apparently do and that is where they get their news and political perspectives. No self-respecting ideocracy could roll without this postmodern phenomenon and the collective cognitive dissonance it engenders. I remember Johnny Carson who appeared on television for decades, but politics never dominated entertainment in those days. Carson recognized that people’s irritation with politics was not good box office, and he was careful not to let it get out of hand.

The lines between entertainment and serious content were never blurred then and that was a good thing. He would occasionally crack a political joke or two in his opening monologue, but he was never known for pushing personal political preferences, it could have been rating suicide, and he knew it.

Then, in the mid-1970’s, along came Saturday Night Live which signaled the passing of the satirical torch from the Greatest Generation to the Baby Boomers. Up to this point the brains of viewers were influenced primarily by alcohol with maybe a little generic weed mixed in, and humor was tempered with normal blood flow to the frontal lobes. In other words, in those days, people could still distinguish between a joke and reality. The Woodstock throngs saw themselves as cool and forward thinking, and they wanted their own brand of funny commentary. This change, subtle at first, was the first indication that national brain damage was on the rise.

Like two rivers joining each other to flow to the sea, America’s pharmaceutical industry began joining late-night television to destroy US brain tissue on a scale never seen before in human history. The closest thing to what has occurred and what is occurring would probably the Opium wars in China. Chinese leadership saw that a rewiring of the human brain was going on and recognized that this could spread quickly and take down the entire society. Their solution was harsh but going into opium dens and shooting the hopeless in the head was the only real alternative then.

What was done to save Chinese society then has become a way to control US society now. After the Great Society destroyed family structure in the US, victims began to display aberrant behavior in school settings. Instead of changing course, proponents of Cultural Marxism, which was the basis of the Great Society, decided to drug the victims to make them more compliant and save all the bad ideas.

The chemical solution quickly took hold, and the government realized it was onto something that could make the population so dumb it would never realize what was really going on. But that population had to be convinced it was superior to those that resisted. Society’s elites understood that they could harness power not by building society from the bottom up, but by gutting it from the inside out with powerful pharmaceuticals blended with alcohol and weed. And they could enlist entertainment to lead the population down this path under the impression that it was all in fun.

But there were consequences. A real ideocracy was growing and all the liberal ideas that created power for a select few was in real danger of collapsing. Sustainability, a banner for the Woke movement, would not be possible with the drug-addled society resulting from postmodern thinking. Something had to be done to head off that collapse. The only viable solution was to inject new blood into society to keep the swindle of freedom and liberty going in order to enrich and empower a tiny cabal of intellectual, cultural, and ideological elites.

Apparently only a fraction of Baby Boomers recognized similarities of Woke society to totalitarian empires like the former Soviet Union and East Germany. But walls still play a role whether they keep you in or keep you out.

This is how America’s borders became wide open. If your farm is loaded with egg-sucking dogs, you need to get new dogs asap. When the population you’ve created becomes seeded like explosives at the foundations of free society, you have little choice but to replace it. When things in a free society deteriorate to the extent that free speech is seen as a compelling danger to freedom then the dogs on your farm are beyond saving.

Lucky for the country, the global virus corrupted election of 2020 was recognized for what it was, and this was a ray of hope for the segment of US society with clean brains. The cuckoo’s nest control of colleges and universities across the nation with ADHD drugs is still a pressing issue, but at least now it is recognized as a problem. America’s last presidential election brings this into sharp focus, and it is not surprising that two assassination attempts have already occurred. The Swamp in Washington will pull out all the stops now to get power back.

Meanwhile, it is hoped that average people will be able to discern the difference between reality and the thieving cartoon show that Washington has become. When massive corruption is exposed it will either be a turning point for reality or a propaganda attack by Washington to save itself.
These certainly are interesting times for entertainment and politics.
