Penn State, everyone thinks this team is going far this year, and some others think it will be Texas.

There are 3 QB's getting a lot of attention in the preseason, they play for Penn State, LSU, and Texas.

There are some questions with a new QB at Ohio State, but this team is still built well, and they might have the best player in the country in Jeremiah.

Three Big 10 champions in a row? Michigan, Ohio State and Penn State?

University of Illinois will surprise some people this year, they have an NFL caliber head coach who knows how to build winning teams, and the Illini won 10 games last year. Also look for Indiana and Michigan to be good again. The Big 10 is the best conference in the nation, move over SEC.

I don't know who will win this year but last year, OSU, ranked last in the tournament, came back to take it all. It was so much fun and one fine ending to a season with some disappointments.

They open the season with a home game against Texas, no pressure on the new QB. Might be the most watched game of the season.

Usually, the only ones that repeat indefinitely come from the SEC.

The biggest question for OSU is probably their defense, with new kids and a new coordinator

That is not to say that there is not concern about the new QB who essentially has not gotten any playing time.

I would like to see their receiver Jeremiah Smith win the Heisman this year. Everyone knew he was the best athlete in college football, but the darned trophy always goes to a QB.

He may even be the best athlete OSU has ever had in general.

Illinois coach Biellema was the defensive coordinator here at K-State under Bill Snyder for a short time. I'm not sure he's NFL caliber. Watch out for Clemson and Arizona State got cheated against Texas, but the winner of the Big 12 could make a lot of noise. Penn State's QB is a question mark and Ohio State has a new one. Georgia will be in the picture.

The big ten is going to be a meat grinder. Oregon and SC have great coaching and have been recruiting great. Penn State, Ohio State and Michigan are all tough. Iowa, Illinois, Washington and Nebraska could make some noise. I think Penn State can take that league if their quarterback learns to read a little quicker.

I don't know about all that. Jesse Owens went to that school. But he is definitely the best wide receiver in college football and with his size, speed, and ability, he is headed for the Hall of Fame when he is done, barring injury.

Let's just say Smith is the best football player athlete I have ever seen play and leave it at that.

He is an absolute beast!!

Watch the Big 12. They don't have the big names, but they do have better coaches. Lincoln Riley can't coach. He ran away from OU to USC because he couldn't win and he's not wining at USC even though he gets talent. If USC doesn't make the playoffs this year, Riley might be gone. And looking at the Big 16, formerly the Big 10, I don't see it happening. Nebraska had something like 20 players leave through the transfer portal, so that might be a problem.

I can't even say that. Bo Jackson might have something to say about that. So would Deion and Charles Woodson. But Smith is definitely the best wide receiver that's come out in years.

The Big 12? They are all leaving, or had you not noticed?

The next NC college football winner will either be from the Big Ten or SEC.

Clemson has really faded of late, and Oklahoma is always a pretender.

What I meant was at OSU.

Nobody has left the Big 12. Clemson made the playoffs last year. I think they won their conference, and they have a bunch of people coming back. The Big 12 has the most returning depth at QB than any other conference, and Arizona State should have been in the national semi-finals. Michigan is overrated; Iowa and Nebraska are not contenders. The SEC has Georgia and after them, who? Alabama has questions. Tennessee lost their QB. Texas is always rated high, and a lot of times, overrated. We'll see about them this year. The Big 10 will probably come down to Penn State, Ohio State, Oregon, and either Indiana and IlIinois.

Pretty sure he was an assistant coach for Belichick in New England. He might have also coached with the Texans, but he has been on NFL sidelines. He was in NE after he quit at Arkansas (or got fired) but he has somewhat of a checkered past in coaching. But he wins.

Clemson is getting a lot of attention as well. I've seen them talked about as a title contender, along with Georgia.

Oregon is getting a lot of attention, can't believe I forgot about them. Not sure about USC.

Bielmaa had to leave KSU because he got a DUI. He was a young single man at the time so I really didn't find fault for that.

Again, Jesse Owens went to that school. So did the only football player to win the Heisman twice-Archie Griffin.

Can't say I ever watched Jesse play football, so I concede the point.

Archie is probably the closest from what I've seen.

I did. And he was a bad man. Smith is definitely a generational type player. Hopefully, they use him right. I'd have him running back punts and kickoffs. This guy is a gamechanger.
