A) Marxists don't believe in a god, Obama does, or at least purports to, which is just as good for the sakes of this argument

It is always dangerous to reach conclusions based on associations because you rarely know the real basis of that associations. In your example the person is not guilty of being a white supremacist because they were at rally. It is action of carrying a sign which made them guilty, not the association.
