You're wrong. I vote for what I feel is best for the country, not necessarily what's best for me. I doubt I'm the only person that votes unselfishly.
I don't find those mutually exclusive. Whats in the best interests of the country is in my best interest.

A "point" or "influence" is not an "event." If you reread my sentence I was talking about events of "increase of debt." The wise spending of Reagan has got nothing to do with our bloated debt now.
