Science is just an outdated method of gaining information about the material world. We would be better off creating new systems of gathering information altogether. (Philosophy, for example, is a superior one).

While some may credit science for its practical applications, such as the development of technologies which people make use of, the reality is that people had always been inventing technologies, long before any modern conception of science was developed. And there are times in the past when technological development was arguably superior, such as how the Chinese invented gunpower centuries before the West did, and before any modern version of science existed.

Once again a display of your vast ignorance and immaturity.

Science is a systematic discipline that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable hypotheses and predictions about the universe. Modern science is typically divided into two – or three – major branches: the natural sciences, which study the physical world, and the social sciences, which study individuals and societies. While referred to as the formal sciences, the study of logic, mathematics, and theoretical computer science are typically regarded as separate because they rely on deductive reasoning instead of the scientific method as their main methodology. Meanwhile, applied sciences are disciplines that use scientific knowledge for practical purposes, such as engineering and medicine.

The history of science spans the majority of the historical record, with the earliest identifiable predecessors to modern science dating to the Bronze Age in Egypt and Mesopotamia (c. 3000–1200 BCE). Their contributions to mathematics, astronomy, and medicine entered and shaped the Greek natural philosophy of classical antiquity and later medieval scholarship, whereby formal attempts were made to provide explanations of events in the physical world based on natural causes; ....

O.k. then what's your schtick?

Is that it? If there's anything to chaallenge then there's only that one other option.

While I would certainly applaud teaching philosophy in American schools, i can't say that "science" is outdated. There's a huge public ignorance of what science means, today, many people have unwittingly embraced scientism not science and that's a big concern I have.

You are confusing science as a word with science as a process.

Science is not a fad or a 17th century invention. It’s just the structured way humans figure out how things work. Long before the word science existed, people were already observing, experimenting, and refining ideas based on evidence. It was still science before being called science.

The Chinese inventing gunpowder is science; they didn’t call it that, but they observed chemical reactions, tested mixtures, and kept what worked. That’s the scientific method in action.

Philosophy is great for exploring ideas and ethics, but when it comes to making an airplane fly or curing disease, you still have to test, measure, and prove things in the real world. That’s science. Without it, we’d still be guessing, and guessing doesn’t get rockets into orbit.

Is this just an attempted end run around being called out for thinking women can have penises and men can give birth?

Careful everybody, the OP could be on about the AiG option?
That's as dead serious as science to some!
Christians are usually quite timid about proposing AiG, but it can't be ruled out yet.

Wrong! Science may have been that, but now it has changed.

Science is now a systemic discipline that builds on wokeness, giving us conclusive proof that men can have babies and mutilating the genitals of children will help prevent them from wanting to kill themselves later in life.

Science is not outdated

You simply are not smarter enough to grasp how it worked

I had my doubts, but no... you truly are ignorant. Not worthy of any serious consideration. You are dismissed.

Science as a concept remains same as (I) Wiki stated.
Some employed in certain fields of science may match what you claim.
This most likely due to government funding and liberal institution distortions which prioritize Left-wing bias political correctness.

Our commercial and political adversaries are going all in on "science." Developing new technologies IS science.

Scientists are just as political as every one else, and just as corrupt.

Some are, some aren't.
Just like not every one else is, contrary to your bias.
I did not say all were, did I?

Clearly there are some that everyone just ignores.

No, pure science is simply studying the material universe for its own sake. Using science to develop new technologies is applied science.
Motto of Human Lab Mice: "If It's Weird, It's Wise"

To avoid science becoming mental masturbation for useless escapists, the last step in the Scientific Method should be, "How can we use this?"

Instead of going "Cool! Wow!" at the discovery of the neutrino and leaving it at that, it should have been used to discover all the valuable resources of the Earth, all the way to the core

You did not use the word "all", but neither did you preface with "some", "most", "many" or any other similar restrictor.
Use of "scientists" alone implies ALL scientists, since you didn't qualify with a limiting preface.

More accurate concept is that like many workers, most scientists will do and say what is wanted by those who pay them.

To be honest, it's hard to think of one scientific theory which was so obvious that even ancient people were aware of it. Evolution, for example, was understood by the ancient Greeks, only to be rediscovered by the likes of Darwin thousands of years later. It was never his theory at all, he either discovered something so obvious that even primitive tribesmen believed it, or plagiarized it from thinkers who were onto it long before him:

So based on facts such as these, I'd argue that science is a joke. It may have some utility, but it's primarily just a hodgepoge of outdated theories about the material universe, which will likely just turn out to have been discovered thousands of years before some huckster either stole it or rediscovered something so simple and obvious.
