When I see anyone 30 and younger prosecuted by law for a consentual sexual relationship with a determined 15.....16......etc year old it irritates me. I find it illogical to prosecute an adult for potentially being the necessary grounding in such a determined to have relations individual. What other alternative would there be? Break them up prosecute, and what of the determined youth? We are not discussing children unexposed to society's manipulative call on their sex drives.

So the 30 year old man is off the hook because a 15 year old girl is "determined" to have sex, and he "grounds" her?? Let her make stupid decisions with someone closer to her own age.

The older woman needed the younger men, to keep up with their sex drive.
You know, they say the men's sex drive declines with age and the women's goes up....not that it's true for everyone.........but most ladies I know who are single, prefer the younger gent~

It isn't all about the sex. It is somewhat about what I always hear women brag about... how 'we' supposedly mature so much faster than 'our' men. So many people had enough to say about the playboy icon marrying the younger and obviously beautiful women... yet he has what seems to be an undying zest and zeal for life that so many other men his age seem to lack.

4. OK, maybe she's not using him. Perhaps she loves him because he's more patient, laid back, mature, gentle, and understanding than men her age. Still, she's likely considered his bucks at some point. I mean, you don't see younger women with destitute older men, do you?

But seriously, what woman in her right mind would deny any man this? Even if it is hype, the potential truths... keep me certain that I would not want my husband or my sons as they mature to be denied the attentions of whatever appealing youth they find themselves attracted to (within the logic and reason of legal age limits... yet in my mind 15 and 16 is more legal in many cases than illegal).

Normal heterosexual men are to attracted women who appear most fertile. That tends to mean that younger women seem to be more suitable mates.

Women need men who can provide for, and will stick around while the babies are growing up. That tends to mean that women find slightly more mature men more suitable mates.

It's really that simple.

It isn't about my nerve or your ignorances... It is about sometimes understanding not all human relationships are flawed without reason. SOMETIMES people who meet during their youthful years of school and get married right out of high school do make it work for a lifetime. Successful marriages are dwindling away and mainstream society boasts to know best when it comes to 'logical age guidelines'. I am not boasting to know anything, I am only saying it is illogical for an older counterpart to be prosecuted for having relations with a determined younger counterpart. I am not talking about the prepubescent years of a minor, I am referring to the years after the onset of puberty. I do not condone child molestation, child porn or any thing of the like, but when a young adult intentionally has sexual relations and such with an older adult of their choice it is completely WRONG for mainstream society to have laws prohibiting such. It may not be detrimental to one partner over the other... The youth may even recover and remarry after the severed relationship, but then the older, and all to often better grounded and more settled older individual may NOT recover and may struggle at deeper levels. This type of law is reflective of rejection in a way that social parenting of our children and young adults is not always in their best interest. I am informed that some primative societies sugges the following formula for an approriate age for men and women to marry

Man's AGE/2 + 7 years = the youngest age of the women he is to marry.

For instance a 50 year old man ought not to marry a women who is less than

50/2 + 7 years = 32 years old.

Or for a 20 year old man the formula for the youngest women to marry would be

20/2 +7 = 17 year old girl

It sort of makes sense for societies where women typically died in child birth, and men often ended up marrying later in life.

The 15-16... year old mingling with the 30 year old was an intended extreme illustration. Though it does happen. My only real point is that there shouldn't be prosecution for such. Also, some 15-16 year olds are still prepubescent. It may be rare, but it is still likely.

Melissa, I disagree with the idea of a 15 year old and a 30 year old..not because of the age difference, but because of the idea she is underage. She is not ready for a real relationship and he is. If the girl was 18 that is different because she is what is an accepted age of majority in most countries. Girls at 15 are not ready for serious relationships. If the girl were 20 and he 35 I would feel differently about that same relationship and say it is ok...because I also have no problem with a woman who is 35 seeing a man who is 20

You want to change the laws for teenagers to be able to have sex with 30 year olds, that is every perverts dream right there. There is a reason 15 and 16 year olds are not legally adults in the US, they don't have the maturity and common sense that adults have to make decisions, and that includes having a sexual relationship. Half the damn teens I see can't even tie their damn shoes or spean English properly and you want it ok for them to be out there ******* people in their 30's.

Oct 14, 2011 -Nguyen Thi Phuong, a Vietnamese woman who contracted an allergic reaction to some fish she ate in 2008, has gone from being a vibrant looking 23-year-old to someone resembling a 70-year-old.

The tragic set of circumstances, which began with an itchy outbreak of hives that was keeping her awake at night, was apparently triggered by some seafood she ate, reports asiaone.com. Nguyen and her husband sought medical relief from a local doctor, but it only worsened the problem.

I just seem to come from a different world. My grandmother's mother passed away early in her life and there was only her sister to raise her, who was merely a little older. In those days the teen years were NOT at all what they have come to be today. The women took care of their fathers if there was no woman... and then, even if there was a woman figure the girls were not necessarily 'girls' but young adults with duties.

The fish allergy is interesting and may be the kind of thing referred to within the old testament about the levels of obedience toward God. Catfish are bottom-dwellers.
