Liberals like to squawk about racism as if it couldn't possibly apply to them. They indulge in racism, sexism, and hateful bigotry of every kind because they are convinced that by their very nature they are immune to such things no matter what they actually do or say. Shameless, unreflected hypocrisy is fundamental to their unquestioning obedience to liberal dogma.

The second link is an example of the Straw Man Fallacy. In the Straw Man Fallacy one does not refute an argument, but a distortion of that argument. What John Hawkins says of all liberals is only true of some, and could probably be said of some conservatives also. I will respond to one of his so called "Uncomfortable Truths About Liberals.

4) Most liberals don't care if the policies they advocate work or not. This may seem like an alien concept to a lot of people, but liberals don't push policies based on whether they improve people's lives or not. To the contrary, liberals support policies that make them feel good about themselves or alternately, help cement liberals in power. This is why liberals don't care whether tax revenues go up after a tax cut, whether high taxes on the rich kill jobs, or how high your gas prices go because they don't want to drill. To liberals, a policy that kills millions but makes them feel good about themselves is a win, not a loss. See the Left's cut- off of military aid to South Vietnam for one example of that and their opposition to the use of DDT, which is needlessly killing
1.5 million people a year in Africa. Conservatives would be happy to reverse that ban, but it makes liberals falsely feel like they're good environmentalists to keep it in place; so all those poor people in Africa have to die for no reason other than to prop up the fragile self esteem of pampered left-wingers here in the United States.

Republicans do not care that tax cuts - especially for the rich - do not have the benefits they claim. During the 1980 campaign Ronald Reagan said he could cut taxes, raise defense spending, and balance the budget by 1983 without cutting popular middle class entitlements. Obviously, he could not.
From the end of the Second World War the national debt as a percentage of gross domestic product declined until Reagan's tax cuts. The debt problem, which Republicans complain about, only became a problem with the failure of supply side economics, which George H.W. Bush aptly called "Voodoo Economics."
While tax revenue has sometimes increased slightly after tax cuts, it has usually increased more when taxes were not cut, and still more when they were raised.
High taxes on the rich have not killed jobs. When the top tax rate was 94% the unemployment rate was 1.2%. Taxes have generally been higher under Democratic presidents. Jobs created per year have nearly always been higher under Democrat presidents.
The War in Vietnam was immoral, unnecessary, and against American interests. DDT does not break down in the environment. Insects build an immunity to it. These are issues that merit their own threads.
