PACs don't influence people, they influence legislation.

I am not influenced by a PAC, but I can influence my Congresswoman and Senators.

In every conflict there will be the anti-War, and opposition to US Policy crowd. It is traditional. There is something exciting about it for some. But the volume of the vocal is not always representative of the actual voting constituency. And the actual voting constituency is not influence by the PAC --- any PAC.

Very few in America --- especially true patriotic Americans --- are going to consciously stand-up for a Arab terrorist supporting government; especially one that has openly threatened the US, and has gone out of its way to inflict pain on Americans. In these discussions, the fact that the US does not side with the Arab Palestinian is the fault of the Arab Palestinian, and not the political influence of any single political action committee (PAC).

There is little doubt that there are some that prefer to associate with the crooks, criminals, and Jihadist in HAMAS. But a vast majority see them only as the Poster-boy image of a terrorist. That is not because a PAC told us to think that way; no it is not. It is because the Hostile Arab Palestinian presents themselves this way.

I disagree, it's all about the money needed to run for office; it's about those all important contributions; soft money vs hard money and the prevailing belief amongst American politicians of whatever party, rightly or wrongly, that the "Jewish Lobby" is organised and can tip the balance of an election. The US Congress and Senate are virtually all bought and paid for as far as Zionist Israel is concerned; "loyalty to a friend and ally" may be words bandied about in public, but behind closed doors politicians have no real friends or allies except those of convenience and expediency.

That is a naive and inaccurate way to claim the US has acted.
The USA has used its power for the benefit of America, or more specifically, for the ruling class of the US.

The US has used its power in smaller conflicts and in what it thought were to be smaller conflicts to impress on all that the US is mighty.

Bases all over Europe bolstered US power, influence and trade.

As to 'being a friend':
During WWII the USA and Great Britain seemed to be the "closest of friends and allies". It was in fact a power relationship, in which the US was happy to see the balance shift from the UK to the US. Historians speculate that trade pressures were such that had WWI / II not been started by Germany, there would likely have been a world war between the US and The British Empire, for control of markets that the US was excluded from.

This can be illustrated by 1945, when US aid to Britain ended. Britain sent representations to the US, explaining that Britain had spent its empire and treasure in the joint and necessary enterprise of saving the free world from German domination. Britain now projected that there would be actual famine and starvation across the UK. Millions were projected to die of hunger and cold,

My point is, that the US would NOT do stuff for Israel as it does, for some dizzy love-struck friendship.
It does it for one of two reasons: Israel has the US by the short and curlies, in some inexplicable way.
Or, the top men in the US have aligned themselves by reasons of personal gain to Israeli wars. The mix of money, power, oil and war industry all being components of that support.

However, the interests of those elite is not the interests of the USA as a nation. That is why Israel gets to act in a way which is against US interests, but still receives the support of the elite of America.
